Build Your Own City! Game Thread

I build power lines coming in from a nearby city.

What a stupid rule.

Fine, a water supply network then.

Sorry I missed you. Aliens come and attack, but your awesome citizens fight them away with their bare hands. 17, and gain 30 PPT.

The architects love the idea and come to look at the design site. It's a little too hilly so they cannot build very well, but they get it done, plus 30 PPT.

I complete the transmission lines for a public telephone.
9 a success, when moving the poles to the destination the driver crashed, because he was thinking about the new demo game, but you got most of the wood and 20 PPT.

With a new turn started, I fight for the right to build roads anew! A great city requires the efficient transportation network so our raw materials don't get stuck in the mud!

Translation: I build roads.
17 a big success, you actually get more roads than you wanted, because of a miss order, and in return you get 30 PPT.

This.

I was first

If I can't do that, How about a water tower?

YIKES!!! You build it but then it falls over and crushes your houses. Loose 10 pop and 10 PPT!!!! 1, sorry.

I build power lines coming in from a nearby city.
Well, I guess it's a little different. The only trouble putting them up is that there are not enough people to help, but they get the job done. Plus 25 PPT. You rolled a 12.

^ Oi, not a new turn yet. And it really helps me if you wait until the new turn to post what you want, because then I have to go back and say, "wait, so was that last turn or this turn "

Yes, it's just habit from playing Roll to Dodge.

I think you should just do all of the orders at the same time.

^ If that will make it easier, sure. But all the rolls I've done for this turn are still as is.

Well I get to decide :D. It was a design flaw.

^
Yes. Yes it is.

Sorry, the design flaw was in the water tower, not me being the one who decides what happens.

What about my winter storehouse?

I construct a communal food preservation building.

Addendum to TLO's suggestion: don't start the next turn until you've covered all the orders. That way, you won't have to sift through the backlog.

I missed some stuff. What is all of this about a store house or something.

I ordered the storehouse before the phone line.

Consider the storehouse my action for "this" turn.

Hey? What happened to my roll?

Huh? I am lost. I have no idea what you mean.

OK, I went through and made a record of what's happened so far:

The problem stems from Turn 3 beginning with outstanding orders from Turn 2.
As I said before, don't start the next turn until you've covered all the orders. Do it all at once, and that way things won't slip off the radar.
