City Hall

City Hall 1.12.2

I like the latest update. It's a great idea, but the teal looks too similar to coastal water imho. At least in some cases, like here (this is with only your mod active, unedited):

not too surprising since i deliberately modeled it after the coastal water! 😹 seriously though, i made it as distinct as i could from the green, blue, and unfiltered terrain. it's a balancing act, because the colors still need to harmonize or they'll be too distracting.

btw the tiles stand out a lot more when there are two together. the edge color is a lot stronger between matching tiles, and the terrain color varies a lot by location and angle. the blending mainly happens with single tiles from specific angles, and i can't totally avoid that.

also, i occasionally adjust the colors based on my own gameplay experience. that's why i made this update! i was having trouble in the late game with getting "lost" in the city view because everything was semi-opaque blue & green. once the lakes and coasts filled up with fishing boats, i had no landmarks other than the purple city center. this will at least restore the shape of the coast.

I can imagine the balancing act, especially with different viewing angles. I'll get used to it, I'm sure :)
and i'll experiment more with colors, with an eye to visibility. i already tried making the teal greener, to separate from the water color and tie it more to the main rural color, but it mostly just looked bad, haha. the main problem is that it needs to be about that shade to read as "marine," but the actual water color varies so widely that there are always spots where it's nearly identical.

new version improves color separation between the the tiles & terrain, and between the different tile types

Is there any known conflicts with other mods with this one? The reason i am asking is the last few updates the instant clicking to repair has quit working for me. I tried using older versions but so far no luck (only went back a few versions). I have since installed other mods and wondering if one of them is conflicting with this one, has any one else having issues? Thanks.

when you open a city that needs repairs, does it switch to the Purchase tab? if not, then check the Options menu to make sure that one-click repairs are turned on. the only interactions that i know of are with F1rstDan's Cool UI (which was fully compatible the last i checked) and MM's Compact Production Chooser (which overrides most City Hall production features including one-click repairs).

The one click option was checked on but it still does not work. So I had tried uninstalling all mods, then just install this one and it worked fine.. But as soon as I add the ones I had before it quits working. If I can figure which mod conflicting I will let you know.

i found the problem: i needed to merge the new Repair All feature into my version of the production list. i'm reviewing that + checking all of the other small changes they made to the city interfaces. City Hall is my biggest mod, so there's a lot to merge and test, but i expect i'll have an update later today.
