Building Conversions II

You did not? Then who did the Grain Mill then? I have it signed by your name :hmm: ;)
I don't have AoK, nor have ever played it so, I don't know what buildings are in that game, what could be used etc., though obviously, the white-background screenshot would save time.

Lusikka755, it’s not exactly the site that posts the buildings, rather it is a Mod Pack Studio, which runs from copying your Age of Kings and AoK:TC files. It shows them as ‘resources’, in this case meaning simply the data files that it accesses.

There are over 50,000 of them, some of them are units (divided into frames) and some of them are buildings and units (uncompleted) as you see here. The number I will put in the right-hand corner is the resource number so I can go back to it easy, or people who have MPS can use for reference. I will post 10 right now, then I need to work on that overview for LOTM.

Embryodead, yes, it’s true I have done the Grain Mills, and a few Castles but the sheer number of buildings in Aok is enormous. Moreover, there are the resources (real ones this time) and possibly units that can be edited to fit the game. There are 5 culture groups-

Western Europe (England\France\Spain)
Germanic Civilizations (Vikings\Teutons\Goths)
Middle Eastern (Persia\the Saracens\Byzantines)
Far East (China\Korea\Japan\Mongols)
Meso-American (Mayans\Aztecs)

There are 4 ages, Dark Ages, Feudal, Castle Age, Imperial. Each age has a different graphic, although the Dark Ages aren’t much (all civs have the same graphics). But even so, you have around 15, and sometimes 16 different versions for each building. When doing the grain mills, I skipped one age, as there weren’t enough graphical changes to warrant it. I admit however, even if I had the time I could never make these graphics half as good as yours! They really blend in with the game exceptionally well:). So if you have the time-

Here are some of the Archery Ranges (minus the Meso-American) and a possible upgrade to the medieval dock which wans't used in the actual AOK game. I decided it was best to use blue as the generic color, if you forced me I would go back and make it grey, or another preferred color, but I think it is best this way. ;)
Blue is universal!

EDIT
Uploads remote linking is glitching- you can go to the uploads folder yourself and download it, or wait for this to fix.

PCH the file probably didn't upload because you used hash symbol "#" which is "illegal" on many servers.

*edit
Fixed URL, damn can't do anything with this file, hope you guys have more luck with it than me! It's the cursed archery range!

Thanks embryodead, let me try this again. It must be a problem with the URL, because it was d\l-able from uploads6 (a relief since I deleted it from my destop) ;)

Sweet. Out of the graphics pack links in the Building & Wonder Graphics Library, this one has become my absolute favorite. :)

Nice stuff! And sure it's ok to post them here!

I haven't had really time to convert buildings for few weeks and I don't think I have much in the next few weeks either:( But I'll be back!:D

BTW, Drift. You should add embryo's name to the link in the Library too...:)

Well, I think it's best Stonehenge so far, but it's not perfect...

... Well, I think it's excellent! -- and (if you insist upon being a stickler) we have an old expression in America (with two variations, the first used by classical musicians ;) ) "Close enough for jazz" and "Close enough for government work."

Thanks!

Lusikka, I've been snooping around today and found some of your threads. By golly, you sure make/convert the best buildings I've ever seen and I got heaps of them going into my game just now. I really like the hockey arena and hotels in the first post, and the Congress building. Thanks for your hard work. The stonehenge and court are pretty cool too. :)

Thanks again for the conversion. And your other work is also certainly excellent. If only I could come up with uses for all these beautiful improvements...
