Bypassed broken

Brainstorming?

When I read
Neferure and Thutmose also felt bypassed. The whole royal family is gone crazy
I thought

"perhaps Ultimogeniture family accidentally initialised in Primogeniture fashion?"

Do you have still those before / after savefiles?

I've actually come across a few situations already where the succession list goes bypassed. But it may not be your specific examples. One was, heir got imprisoned, then released, everyone went bypassed.

Here is another example: My heir was only 9 years old so I got a regent. When she took the throne: everybody felt bypassed.

It seems there are several way this triggers. Could you please provide an opion to set the bypassed penalty to zero? Or is there some XML file I can edit? As you may have noticed, managing my court, governors etc is what makes this game so much fun for me. But this is very annoying and I don't play games to get annoyed.

And yes I had that stupid event again getting my queen killed because of the bypassed. Who makes up this kind of stupid funbreaking events?

As I've mentioned previously, it is extremely difficult for us to backtrack the issue in an after-the-fact save. The best for us is a before save, steps to cause it, and after save. I understand this can be very frustrating.

Also note, that a couple of fixes for when I found this happening, even though I acknowledged on Nov 29, won't come through till next Wednesday's update. We've moved to a bi-weekly update rotation now.

My apologies about that previous post. I really should calm down before I start posting. Maybe not post in the middle of the night at all :).

Anyway, the autosave of post 24 is the end of the turn before my regent abdicates again in favor of the legitimate heir. End turn, accept the throne and everybody feels bypassed.
This was not the problem of my original post, so you are right Dale that there are several ways of this happening.

Yeah, it's also been noted to occur when the heir goes missing/found, imprisoned/released, exiled/forgiven. Basically any sequence that allows the heir to step out of line for a while, and then step back in.
