Added Tech and TXT for:

Solar Power
Req Tech: Electronics AND Modern Physics
Location: X68 Y15
Required For: Satellites, Ecology

I would have thought that Ecology is from the 1960's (the DDT scare) whereas Solar Power was more 1970-80's.

EditWhat did you call the tech in the file the only "solar" I can find is galactic era stuff.

Should be in the TXT file in the SVN here is what i put in there:

Code:
<TEXT>
		<Tag>TXT_KEY_TECH_SOLOR_POWER</Tag>
    			<English>Solor Power</English>
			<French>Solor Power</French>
			<German>Solor Power</German>
			<Italian>Solor Power</Italian>
			<Spanish>Solor Power</Spanish>
  	</TEXT>

ahaha i just noticed i spelled it wrong, my bad:lol::lol::blush:

Thx DH, its now fixed in the SVN.;)

I used this timeline as a guide. While discovered in the 1800s I set its beginning use around the 1920's. I also based it off of the other available techs which meant that techs like electronics and modern physics seems to fit well. I wanted to keep it before satellites though. And I thought the ecology requirement fit well for all the "green" economy stuff.

I do have an article on how to make electricity from the sun from about 1930 without silicon, but solar panels are an offshoot of the silicon revolution. No argument about it being required for satellites. It is just the Ecology prerequirement I am arguing against.

Well my main reason for it is that Ecology unlocks "Green" Civic, which I would assume would need green power sources like solar or wind as their requirement. Do you think the civic should be moved to another tech?

Updates

I have a folder on my desktop with the current svn version 1419. However when exporting and placing in the mods folder , when a new game is started the build version is shown always as 1384.

If I correctly import the latest svn version into the mods folder should the build version change to reflect this ?

Or am i performing an incorrect task ?

Someone stated once that the build version is only updated when the civgamecoreDLL.dll is updated in the SVN too. Your version is most likely the correct one (1419) but the DLL file hasn't been modified since version 1384.

Cheers

That is correct.
