And then you need to pick out what is new just now, terrible work which would not necessary if there is always a package (with the new files only!) with changelog and what does point to wo so that a comparison is easy.
The SVN is atm 9189 packages (with new files only!) applied to an old version of C2C that existed before we started using the SVN service. By "pick out what is new" I assume you mean to copy the individual files that got changed, from the SVN to your bts\mods\C2C folder after an update. Perhaps it would suit you better to play the mod directly from the SVN folder; e.g. by using the bts\mods\Caveman2Cosmos folder as your SVN repository folder. Then you wouldn't need to pick out any files, only what revision number you want to update to before playing.
 
Still not loading, can you dig deeper? I got the flu in my bones, can do much now, plz test if it will load.

Any way to see why it is not loading? Bug report?
I just tested it right now and saw there was still a problem; I can dig a bit deeper for you, I only fixed the obvious stuff I could remember from the top of my head that had changed, I must have forgotten something.

Edit: I know now what I forgot, there are too many civs in this scenario for the latest SVN. There is now a new hard limit of 40 civs; I know you will hate this change but we weighed the pros and cons and made a decision.
 
I will have to jerk out 10 teams from this scenario for it to be able to be loaded on latest SVN; it might be better if you loaded the file I sent you in an older SVN version you know it worked in and edited it yourself to only be 40 civs. team 0-39.

Edit: Sorry the file I sent you won't be able to load in an older SVN, but if you remove the 10 civs from the original v2.9 and send me the new file, then I can reapply the fixes again to that one.
 
Can you delete the civs that i tell you to delete? So i can create a list of civs you can delete. 45 civs, so we need to delete 5 civs...

I dont know if you can fix that but we have to remember you may need to change the team ID then... also there ate 2 not used civs in the scenario i see so you may delete:

46 civs in scenario meens then 0-46 = 47 so 7 to remove... including the 2 unused first 2 unused civs here in list.
 
Before you posted that list I went ahead and removed civs and got the scenario to load without error messages. I just removed the 5-6 civs with team ID 40-46.
Trying to remove civs that are not at the end of the team list will be more trouble than I care for, because I will then have to shuffle the team ID numbers so much around that it would give me a headache.
I realize some of your work on the scenario will be lost but I hope you can take it like a man. ^^

Wrub of Neanderthals is the only civ in your list I removed.


I had a look at the map, good work, best earth map for civ IV that I've seen. (I haven't seen Redwalls earth map yet, but I've seen 3-4 others)

I will agree that Pit's Mega Gigantic Earth Map is the best I've seen too. So a Well Done to Pit for that. :goodjob:

Now if he would just add a version of it with No Pre set Civs on it I would actually start using this Earth Map.

I mainly play random Non earth type maps like Perfect Mongoose with start Everywhere and break with Meteors. Or Archipelago maps, Lakes, etc..

well, and I represent the opposite position: the map with all starting positions pre set (the correct the better) so that there is a real mirror of earth, and a lazy user simply can choose in the setup the civs he want to play with.
If that then also works w/o crashed in svn, then it would really be a very great and good job, and maybe it will be the first time for years that I can continue a game until its end.

Civilizations reduced to 40 civs to match the new civ limit.

had a deeper look on the map, and I'm really belied

- resources are not realistic
- map and mountains are problematic
- special problems with map and mountains I found ina first check:
1) your Portugal position on fantasy land design of Tenerife
2) missing active volkanos in south Italy, Iceland, Tenerife
3) Alps are wrong, Scandinavia
4) New Zeeland mountains placed wrong
5) Bosporus
6) Greenland and Canada

Map is a bit gameplay modified and thats good so, portugal had the canarian islands and its feets in marokko, so its there starting positon now to free europe from one civ. They have a land route to be able to expand, some starting positions/islands are enlarged to make it more faire for the island civs at star. Also some terrain like the deep polar terrain and useless stuff is off map. So you have only the tip of greenland. Resources are gameplay balanced and realistic in the big picture.

Will add some volcanoes you display in the future, also the mod makes some volcanoes to change from active to dormant.

Scenario should work from SVN 9189 upwards.

Same with resources. i.e. Wheat in north of Skandinavia isn't the hit.

Will make lot of work to modify it so that it is more like real world.

Believe me, its better because its gameplay modified. ;) Is accurate enouth and good balanced. More changes in the future, there are always things that can be done better.
