C2C - UEM - Ultimate-Earth-Map 100% MOD and SVN update compatible by Pit2015

My yearlong UEM run has come to an end after 2,214 turns (Renaissance age, 25.9MB save file, 4 city radius (big help!), marathon speed)
Sadly, I'm getting MAF's about every 2nd turn and I lost patience reloading saves.

The greatly improved C2C mod and UEM map stability is very impressive but I can't help feeling cheated of 2,000 more turns ;)
Thank you devs!

2000 turns? I game that in 1-2 weeks on the correct UEM settings and still in prehistoric. :crazyeye: Try the new MAF fix.

@Pit2015 How big is your game save at 2000 turns?
The "correct" setting is too slow for me - I'm trying to get into the modern age one day and the turns slow down a lot even on my nice computer (i9 CPU). I switched to the GOG version of Civ4 (improved memory issues a lot) with the recommended "Memsaver" ini setting. I'm not ready to install 3rd party software to manage my memory.

Its not to slow its a real challenge. And real hard, try to survive. Getting techs really mean something now instead upgrading your units every 3 turns. Rushing through the game sucks, in the UEM scenario settings you have to create and maintain a real nation/civ to stand the test of time. You can use bitsum, its used by thousands and marked secure. Should be the only way to fix MAF's for now. I never had a MAF lately, maybe the UEM scenario setting is also good MAF free, i will see soon. Last game 4000-6000 turns no MAF's.

UEM scenario is hard, try it as it is and see how far you can survive. Nightmare + Eternity - First page here in forum has the challenge settings/setup:

TAKE THE UEM CHALLENGE - HARD SCENARIO - GAME RULES:
1. Dont change anything in the scenario, game the scenario as it is preset.
2. Game on nightmare difficulty and on eternity game speed.
3. Dont reload, take the outcome you get, dont cheat, be honest to yourself and if you fail try again, or try to survive.
4. Use these BUG settings:
Turn off "Damaging terrain" in game in BUG (Green bug icon left upper in game) on a new game.
Disable "Battlefield promotions" in game in BUG (Green bug icon left upper in game) on a new game. (Off by default)
(Optional) Also disable "Minimize AI turn time" so you get all combat animations.
5. Do not turn events off, random events can hit you or benefit you, so the game can change the direction randomly and its not so linear.
6. If you like report your games here.

Turn 946 now in the last days in my new long game, Nightmare + Eternity. 13,11 MB savegame now.

BUG/PROBLEM:

@Thunderbrd There is a bug, if you guard a gatherer with a neanderthal spiked clubman and a animal attacks the neanderthal spiked clubman the gatherer in stack disapears if the animal retreats from the attack with no message. Maybe that creates a memory hole. If you guard the gatherer with a normal neanderthal club man it works. Maybe something with the special rules of the neanderthal spiked clubman.

If you need a savegame to track the bug down let me know.

Reported where maybe it can be addressed.

I can't seem to make the Print Screen work on my Keyboard? I have no idea why this is happening. You could try to explain to me how to do what you are saying, and I would attempt to do it. I know how to post saved games. I would like to know how I can make the game last long enough for me to get into Space and anything else you could recommend. I am NOT tech-wise!!!

Press CTRL+Print key on your keyboard in game, open paint in windows and press CTRL+V key into paint, then you made a screenshot. Or press STRG+V here in your posting, then the screenshot will upload here directly. :)

Thanks! I will try that!!!

It would be great if it were easier to set up all of the options that I want in a game, and if I knew the place where I could check to see if I am playing with all of my option choices.

My King Solomon game began losing and crashing too much for it to be REALLY FUN! I will begin games as America and China. Pitboss, in your opinion, which Civilization is the best for dominating a game to the point that I can put a colony on the Moon? I am a slow learner in many ways! And I do enjoy making all of my game option choices in my own unique way!

Map size is fixed. Take the challenge setup as it is told on first page here:

2. Game on nightmare difficulty and on eternity game speed.
3. Dont reload, take the outcome you get, dont cheat, be honest to yourself and if you fail try again, or try to survive.

If you mean difficulty and gamespeed Nightmare+Eternity.

Ragnar of the Vikings at 350 turns in. There is a difference between us, Pitboss. You like very challenging games, and I think that kind of game makes me tense, and I play to relax. It would be easier for me to take a picture of my computer screen with my iPhone and send it to you, but I will attempt to take the step to post a screenshot with your directions. You are far more computer savvy than I am. I will try to play the game on your settings once, when I really feel like a good challenge!
