C3C PBEM : Arcole - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM

One more vote: Level should be Regent or Monarch! Anything else and we will spend all of our time trying to keep citizens happy.

Game started!!!

AP is off
Preserve Ramdom Seed is on
soldado and fuzilier can start a golden age for the spanish and prussian.
dificulty level is the default of the scenario (regent, I believe)

Good luck to you all! - except to those who are plotting against Prussia :)

Waiting for the turn. :)

Still got no deal offers though. I'll take anything from anyone but peace from Britain. :)

Can offer fine French wines, hearty meals and eternal friendship.

I have the game and am still awaiting responses to the diplomatic gestures I have sent by email (I am also waiting to get a headache-free and loopy-head-free moment). I suspect that I will play my turn within 24 hours. Sorry for the delay, but the diplomacy of the first few turns is sort of critical to the rest of the game.

Yep, diplo by far is the trickiest part of the game. Regarding military powers, in 2 PBEMs I played and 2 others I'm keeping a closer look at, Britain wins so far with ease. Not without a help from the diplo front of course, but mostly because of better starting terrain, somewhat lower corruption and large number of cities and luxuries and Smith's Company.

Turn played and sent to Madrid. As were expected France navy sits hidden in harbours. :) No problem :p

Checking In. The great nation of the Ottomans looks to be wooed by whichever side offers the most mustard. Preferably quality mustard. I might have some dyes availible for a price.

Well, the turn is in your hands now RomeotheMonk. Within a couple of turns I should know what I can offer you for some Luxuries...

As for Spain, all over the nation, people ate talking about the king and saying "I didn't vote for him!" These people are demanding a new leader...

Official warning!!! If you have your ships sailing around British fleet, hide them by all costs. Consider yourselves warned! You can certainly start a phony war, and still would be dealt with in an honorable fashion though this is not the honorable possibility to a certain extent. A decent (from my humble point of view) alternative would be seeking a war with Sweden and trying to use whatever navy they have. :)

@Ottomans: How's about Dijon mustard?

I am far more concerned with quantity than quality, but I am more than certain that there is enough Ottoman goodnees and goodwill to go around.

One of their ships was sighted in Spanish waters. WE sent a frigate to investigate, but it was sent to some place called "Davey Jones Locker" We just thought it was sunk by the english dogs. :nuke:

Know that they will pay for this outrage!

Played and sent to RomeotheMonk...

Played and sent on to Prussia.

All this diplomacy is getting to me.

What ship? We are still to sink at least one!! It probably got sunk by French Ironclad :p

Our people spotted a large vessel with red trimmed sails and flying the colours of England. Our Firgate went to investigate, but did not return. No French boats were sited in the area...

actually you warned him too late gg :) his turn is right after mine so he probably already played his turn and sent it to romeo when you made your "official warning"

Just so everyone knows, the Tsar uses the Grundy Golem rules of diplomacy!
