C3C PBEM : Arcole - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM

I have just found out that I am part of the traveling coaching staff for our football team. I will be gone Friday, Saturday and portions of Sunday. Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvience.
Go Hardrockers. (Team is South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Hardrockers).

Well, the turn will be waiting in your inbox when you get back.

I think that means that the players are taking their time to do their turns right...

I have the game and will be playing it shortly...

Game sent on to Akots, 1800 is now finished in Russia.

Thanks to a wonderful gift (that will be remembered, I promise), Southern Russia is now no longer a useless, corrupt whitewash! :thanx: :sniper:

May, 1801 has gone by peacefully in Eastern Europe. The Russians are starting to come out of their vodka-sodden stuppors and assess the daunting tasks ahead of them. It looks like they will need to make lots more babies for the Tsar to draft into his mighty legions.

Things have still gone by peacefully in the East, but rumblings have been heard. The Tsar suspects that peace may not last too long...

Austrian Hussar was killed near Venice by Imperial Cavalry (2/5 hp).

@Prussia: I thought we had a deal and you make MPP with Britain? Not a very polite move. Please cancel the said MPP and lets go back to peace. I have asked you repeatedly about the deal and you firmly agreed.

I need clarification before all holy hell breaks loose. What combat results do we need to post?

We don;t have to post, you can e-mail the results. But I had problems finding Sega Fanatic's e-mail so decided to post. Actually, it is better to keep the combat outcomes confidential IMO. For example, I have sent battle log for this turn to London via e-mail. :)

I don't remember having a MPP with england... If I have, disregard it (sorry, Random Fan).

In the fierce and extremely bloody battle near Florence 7 division of drafted italian redcoats met their end. But their lives were not lost in wane, in the same battle were slain infamous French general Davout. He and his army of imperial cavalry were not able to survive the deadly strike of British household cavalry at the showdown of the battle. Italy mourns the death of it sons whose heroism will never be forgotten :( . Meanwhile London celebrates a glorious victory :D

Who said that Italians are not able to fight? :)

St. Petersburg Times:

In a stunning announcement, Tsar Rcoutme stated that the longtime enemies Russia and Turkey have signed a 3 1/2 year Mutual Protection Pact. The leaders of the Russian Orthodox Church have gathered together to discuss the implications of the Russian Tsar signing such an agreement with the leader of the so-called 'infidels'. According to the Hierarchy of the Church, he [the Tsar] can do whatever he damn well pleases. It makes no nevermind to the church.

It is key to note that the "infidels" as they are called are led by a monk left over from the fall of Constantinople. So technically the land of the Turks is Christainized, even with some orthodox training, but is currently known as Greek Orthodox. While it is understood that some leaders in the Russian Orthodox Church still believe the Greeks are infidels, an arrangement was reached. It involved the donation of gold to refit a cathedral or 2 throughout the large Russian empire.

Turn sent to London. @Prussia: I have sent you the peace deal please accept this turn and cancel MPP with Britain. You can declare war and make peace immediately on the very same turn. We then can resume trading. Otherwise, there is little that can be done to save the relationship.

The young French republic is invaded by evil Spain. A number of spanish troops advanced to French territory without declaring war. Actually, in civilized countries, you are supposed to first, declare war and only then, advance your troops. But Spanish are so hot and wild, they probably "forgot". Or may be just curious to know...

They are on vacation, yeah, um that's the ticket...

I hear that the French Riviera is lovely this time of year...

Not buying it? Would you at least believe I typed it with a straight face?

Okay, I'm going to war. I didn't think you'd care, I am only Spain...

I figured that I was the comic relief in this scenario. I might get a little lucky here or there, but I'll be near the bottom of the heap in vp's when the smoke clears...
