Trafalgar is a Napoleonic Scenario that tries to improve upon and refine the vanilla Conquests Napoleonic Europe map.

Download here: https://github.com/benskywalker/Trafalgar (press the 'Code' button and 'Download Zip')
Trafalgar's features include:
  • Significantly improved naval combat, and an overall increase to the importance of naval dominance
  • Three new types of artillery: Horse Artillery, Howitzers, and Rocket Artillery
  • Many new and unique land combat units
  • Cavalry now is split into four types, with different purposes. Many civs have unique units that modify their cavalry
    • Light cavalry
    • Line cavalry (vanilla)
    • Dragoons
    • Shock Cavalry
  • Egypt is now included! The embattled French holdings are threatened by the large British fleet and struggle to sustain the invasion. Egypt provides a source of the powerful Camel Corps cavalry
  • The Barbary Pirates are a playable civilization with the powerful naval Raiders, and Corsair marines
  • The map has higher terrain fidelity, and cities are closer. This insulates the effects of the AI razing cities, and provides more details to the map
  • Factories and railroads can be researched, for a hefty time investment.
    • The new Cotton and Wool Mills become unlocked for cities with those resources in their borders
  • New historical points of interest were added, such as the British naval base on Minorca, the French outpost on Malta, and Denmark's city in Greenland (which provides the rare Walrus luxury)
  • Corruption has been moderately decreased to make the game faster-paced and exciting
  • Persia, Arabia, and possibly Switzerland civs are all in development. Let me know what else you'd like to see in the scenario! It is still under development and I will try to fix any bugs as they pop up.
  • Every civilization has access to some guard infantry with an extra hitpoint and at least 5/5.

I would love feedback and suggestions, and let me know if you enjoy the map

Bremen was part of the Kingdom of Hannover, so under the Brits on this map. You should definitely add the Persian Civ, you’ve got all of that empty land in Iran. They fought the Russians from 1804 - 1813, almost the length of this whole scenario.

As a suggestion, something I did was add the Polish, Serbians and Balkan Civs with an immobile unit that has a defense of 100. These Civs are just there to be nuisances for the bigger Civs. The Serbs and Balkans allied with Russians, the Poles with the French. The cities are named after their leaders during the time. In the case of the Greeks it was people who came a few years later than this actual timeline.

Also the Germans could be split up a bit more by creating Saxony, Wittenberg and Bavaria. Kingdom of Hannover is also separate Civ in the Napoleon redux scenario.

Very good point, I will definitely add the Persians! And thanks for mentioning their history with Russia. That will actually be helpful for balancing Russia in the Meta. As for Bremen, I would like to add it to Britain but I'm concerned about making Prussia too weak for game balance. I'll have to look into ways to keep them relevant

I don´t know, if you are aware of the scenarios "The Napoleonic Wars" and "Napoleonic Wars II - Global", both created by The Guardian. Unfortunately both original downloads are lost, but there was a reconstruction of The Napoleonic Wars, that can be found here:

The thread about the scenario "The Napoleonic Wars" can be found here:

The thread about the scenario "Napoleonic Wars II - Global" can be found here:

A biq of Napoleonic Wars II - Global, that can be found here:

May be some of the contain of these threads and the biqs can be helpful for your scenario, too. :)
