C3C PBEM: "Napoleon"

Would it work to designate tiles 'unblockable' or 'blockable' ?? The trick would be to agree on which ones should have which designation.
Maybe too much work??
edit: From a historical perspective I would say NO blocking. I would imagine armies of that era could often land where ever they wanted (relatively speaking say to WWII???) since communications and numbers were relatively minimal. In that era did any group 'block' entire coastlines from potential landing attackers (sincerely curious)??

I would say that military units only may block chokepoints? I think of hills near the coast and such. In real this would happen, and not blocking the whole coastline.
I think it's not a good idea to have no blocking.

I would think that covering a coastline with a max of 6 units could be done. Because it happened but troops were not enough to blockade all. Just my 2 cents...

There are no amphibious units on this scenario, so I would like to hear my fellow players opinions on if it is acceptable to use military units to block landings.

I feel the fear of our enemy, but if the english wild men remain in his small island, their lifes will be spared, dont worry. Besides that i like the loulong´s idea of a max of 6 military units for blocade, that will force a landing army to disembark in a spot more or less chosen by the defender.

If you have 6 units, that would mean that France (if it was later in the game) could had prevented landings in the West side of Denmark.

I propose that (on top of the 6 units maximum) nations must leave at least one tile free next to their coastal cities.

This way you can protect certain key areas (hills, etc) but can't stop a landing near your cities.

Denmark
Skagen was conquered after 2 French units died trying to defend it. However the British face a stronger resistance than expected: 1 Guard and 1 Redcoat were killed in the fighting.

Italy
2 Voltigeur killed. 1 Redcoat lost.

Seems my enemy begins to move. I like the idea of 1 tile free besides a city too.

Yes, I'm moving. You did not expect easy gains all the way through the game, did you?

I just wish Redman will move fast so that I can conquer Paris soon!!!

Siege of Rome:

1 redcoat regiment and 1 lifeguard regiment destroyed south of Rome. The city is closed by land. A great number og French armies gather outside the city for the last assault while the frightened english opressors look from the old wall knowing that their final run towards them.

Killed 1 French Guard in Amesterdam.

Lost 1 MoW in the Med but captured 2 Spanish Frigates.
