C3C PBEM : "Shogun" - Sengoku scenario-based PBEM

I have tested the noaipatrol=0? fix with other pbems and the last player's setting sets the scenario. Thus, if I were moving last, all the Ronin would be killing us right now.

Turn sent to Portuga

The war will be short since the mapmaker forgot to place a source of iron near Date. May be drunk, may be just hangover, may be something else prevented him from doing this. Breakaway is a big company, I guess we never know the name of the guy. :)

Turn sent to the House of Mori.

The Uesugi will now get the chance to continue their war...

Hachinohi Conquered. Three defending ashigarus were defeated. Our losses were 1 bushi, and 2 wonded bushi (3/4, 3/4).

Ochiseki managed to hold, but Date lost 2 ashigarus that only managed to wound our superior bushi (3/4,2/3)

Played and sent to house of Mori. Could not contain my Damyio who rushed into battle. He survived but will be probably killed next turn. Better swift death than long and miserable life in excile.

With that starting location, Date were virtually defenseless against early bushi rush which has been executed well! @Portuga :goodjob:

No bummber imo. The problem is in 4 starting settlers and decent production from the very start for Uesugi. This actually enables to rush with many bushi (even about half veteran, probably whipped) while the Date had no iron. If the start had only one settler, that would be apparently OK for Date, at least gives them some time. However, in this particular setup there has been little chance. There is some iron in the far south-west but it is guarded by barbs and Hachinochi has been a gateway there.

Date's misery was put to an end. The courageus Date shogun was defeated by a veteran Bushi.

Sorry for eliminating you so early in the game, akots. But I was really squeezed between you, the mountains and the AI (wich also built it's cities very close to my borders) . I had to clear some space in order to expand.
Like you said, without iron there was no way that you could manage to offer much resistance.

I was aware of the fact that you didn't had iron from the begining, so I thought that you would try to attack me right in the begining with an ashigaru rush. That's why I eliminated your ashigaru when he aproached my borders, earlier.
