A few screenshots attached. This was my empire mid-game or so.

THEN the 4th screenie is the 2 horsemen attacking my capital :(

Yersinia and Ars Moriendi. xD

Ars died, and Staff of Souls went to Losha. 3 death mana later ... and losha would soon (in 40 turns or so) become a god. I was gonna use Losha Valas to eventually take over the world, or, at the least, survive ARMAGEDDON. Yes... yes .... my end-game strat was to, if necessary, use Losha to protect my core cities in the event that all my units died :p

of course, spectres being immune to death mana, yes this will be a problem. So Yann's forces might have been a problem. The only thing tho ... is that, well, his mages are living just like my vampires. So if anything enrages/kills my vampires, his mages would also get enraged/killed. Now, the only problem remaining would be what to do with losha becoming enraged. WELL, with 3 death mana + staff of souls, pretty sure she'd survive. BUT! To ensure that I could keep the event well controlled, I would temporarily declare war on the orcs so that my enraged units wouldn't run TOO far away ;) after all, he had plenty o goblins to spare iirc.

Spoiler :

Also, I think the Luchuirp suffer from too expensive a mudgolem, and probably Golems themselves that are a *bit* too expensive. If I make an FFH2 patch for Multiplayer connectivity and other things, I can change some simple xml such as that, to make the Luchuirp more playable (similar to what EitB did). Yes, in effect, if I was to make such a patch I would take a number of design decisions from EitB while keeping the core game a bit more similar to base (again, with some, at least in my mind, common sense changes).

Now, to give you an IDEA of the kind of battle I fought with the Barbarians (ie Yersinia), I'll give you some quick stats/ highlights.

I LOST:

66 spectres
1 Saverous
4 Vampires
13 Moroi
2 Royal Guards
1 Chariot
13 bloodpets.

Now, out of all of this, my biggest regret was losing Saverous. If I hadn't lost him, I probably could have made it to the Form of the Titan. I really like (even my vamps) as strong as possible out of the gate :)

Now ... Now I might just have to use either Theocracy or Conquest to get level 3 units (I had 3 great commanders so ... getting a command post was pretty easy :D ... first one I got from a tech, the other 2 were born in new york)

Now, my army at the end of the game (after losing many units to Yersinia). One upside was that, by using Royal Guards and Moroi/Pets as buffers, I didn't lose too many vamps, and after he left I kept making more vamps :)

THE ARMY

45 Vampires
1 Losha Valas
2 Mages
1 Cultist
10 Adepts
4 Royal Guards
7 Moroi
13 Catapults
12 Bloodpets

1 scout
7 workers

ECONOMIC HIGHLIGHTS

52 farms
20 mines

2 or less of everything else

As Calabim, do you usually put aristofarms on plains? I have been using cottages on plains, sometimes changing them to workshops in the lategame.

This game I didn't have a lot of plains, but I do tend to aristofarm plains yes.

As Calabim, I conquered Infernal Dis with 72 pops, and my vampires feasted on it, no sense but yummy.

The theory with aristofarms on plains being, it's better to have 3F3C right away rather than 2F2C right away and 2F6C down the road?

the theory of aristofarms being, its better to have a rebuildable 3/2 tile than a 2/4 tile that is rebuilt into a 2/1 tile.

Also, two 3/2 tiles allow for, lets say, a sage. This gives 3 science. So, in effect, those extra 4 commerce (from the two 2/4 tiles) are almost nullified by the extra 3 science/ 3 gold from a specialist.

Aristofarm + specialists trumps cottage economy. (in base game, anyways)
