Can there be more punishment for being so far in debt?

the Ai expands so fast, and late game i see many are minus a few thousand gold per turn!! Any way to punish them for this?

Where are you seeing this? The values on diplomacy screens are the amount they're willing to trade, not their actual gold per turn. The display of negative values on that screen is a vanilla bug. I might be able to cap it at 0, however.

Oh okay, that's where I'm seeing it. On diplomacy the diplomacy screen. How can I check to see how much gold they have, is it possible?

I think the InfoAddict graphs have an accurate "gold stored" line. However, the "net gold profit" line is inaccurate since it only reads vanilla values.
