Cannot install Visual Studio

I have downloaded the visual studio shell, and whenever I try to install it, it says: Visual Studio setup cannot run in compatibility mode. However, going to the file's properties, it is not set to run in any compatibility mode. Is it that I'm using Vista 64 bit? Has anyone else got it working on a 64 bit machine?

I have it working on Windows 7 64bit. I have not got VS Full but the VS Shell, available form Microsoft for free. I got the link form the 2k Forums for it. Try re downloading it, and make sure you have Admin rights.

On a side note. If you plan on Installing it on any drive other than C, it will still require upto 2gb of space on C.
