Canon fluff

I know that Kael created the FF world and so the fluff included in the base mod is presumably all canonical. I also think it's based on D&D style worlds in part and always assumed it came from a home-brew rpg setting originally.

I was wandering if any of the modmods have fluff that was overseen by Kael or if all that fluff is additional. It doesn't really matter either way but I think I joined the FF world rather late compared to most and thought I'd ask rather than assume. It seems like a lot of discussion goes on into the backgrounds on the lore forum.

Also feel free to correct any horrible assumptions I've already made - and great job on the fluff so far.

Age of Ice from BtS can also be considered canon.

Most, if not all, of the modmod Lore is non-canon, as are the stories in the Lore forum. In some cases this won't make much difference (does it matter what colour the Calabim palace is?), in other cases there are drastic contradictions between the established lore or even other modmod lore.

Some pieces of modmod lore may be based on some minor point of canonical lore that has been intimated in a forum post or chat-thread. Likewise some modmod lore has used an established event (such as the entry for Goliath, which explains the origins of Mechanos Machine Spirits as a direct result of Baranaxus crafting the Ice Golems for Mulcarn in Age of Ice) Regardless, all modmod lore should be considered non-canon unless specifically indicated otherwise.

You can read more modmod Lore in the "Tales from Erebus" thread in the Lore Forum. There is also an old thread in the Lore thread (which might be to be necroed) that highlights some of the unfinished entries in FfH, where you can have a go at writing entries for yourself. Be prepared for rejection though, as the quality threshold is, justifiably, high.
