Can't build Mithril Golem?

I'm playing on Patch G as Khazad, I had founded Kilmorph, owned the holy city, built the shrine, had researched Mithril Working and Mithril Weapons, and had access to multiple sources of Mithril, but I was unable to build the Mithril Golem, in the Holy City or otherwise.

Is this unit restricted to Luchirp only? The only reqs I see in the Civilopedia are:

Can only be built in the Runes of Kilmorph holy city
Requires: Runes of Kilmorph state religion
Requires: Runes of Kilmorph in city
Requires: Mithril Working

All of which I met.

Eventually (with luck) the PDF file will include all information for the mod for printing and offline reference. And (possibly sooner) the online Civlopedia site is a great tool that does show many such "hidden aspects" adequately.

Though of course in this particular case, it doesn't state the AC 70 requirement. This requirement is also on Meshabber of Dis if I recall correctly. I do not think anyone else that a player can build is tied to the AC.

yea the AC req should really be in the pedia

Bane Divine also has an AC 70 requirement.

Meshabber has a line in the description with the requirement - copying it to the golem's would definitely stop this being asked so often :)

He used to have the requirement listed, but it disappeared when he got moved around in the tech tree. That's why old players know about the requirement and new players make a new thread every week wondering why they can't build it.

It also used to be much stronger. First it was strength 40, then reduced significant;y but given Enchantment affinity (so it was potentially stronger), and then (in BtS) its strength was not increased but the affinity was removed (or someone forgot to add it).

I don't think a strength 25 is worth 5000 hammers, especially if it cannot get promotions. Meshabber has the same cost, lower tech requirement, and no prerequisite resource, but has 6 more strength (if you include both its unholy and fire strength) and can get lots of promotions.

(I decided to give the Mithril Golem 2 enchantment affinity, 2 earth affinity, and 1 mithril affinity, and replace Meshabber's 6 Unholy and 6 Fire strength with 3 entropy affinity and 2 fire affinity)

I do think 25 is a little low, but it can still be insta-repaired by adepts and works well for Luch at least...
