Can't delete saved games

Suddenly, one day, I stopped being able to delete saved games.. I don't use the steam cloud to save my games. I save them to my hard drive. When I click on the file and click delete, it asks me to confirm I want to delete it. I click yes, and the file remains.

Any suggestions?

thats weird.

You could try deleting the old fashioned way. Go to the directory (search the name of a savegame to find it) and delete them.

Do you know if I uninstall and reinstall if I will lose the achievements? Or are they stored in Steam?

I would know how to find the files on my PC, but I'm playing on my husband's mac and I've no idea how to get to the directory. Do you?

Steam stores them.
You can easily see it if you play offline, because then you don't get any achievements (AFAIK).
