Can't even take a turn!

I found a very upsetting bug.
I start a small game from the prehistoric era, with 2 civs on a duel size map. I get my first city down and such, get my first layouts setup, then and I go to end my turn, and it CTD.
I have done this repeatably several times under the same circumstances and I get the same CTD error. I don't know if there's something I'm missing or what, but its bugging me. Can someone with more knowledge then I have tell me whats going on. I went threw the civopedia like I do with every mod and it looks REALLY awesome and I ACTUALLY want to sit down and play a game. :(

Aperantly this bug ONLY HAPPENS when using a map type supplied by the Mod itself. All normal vanilla map types work OK with this mod.

1) We have processes for resolving these CTD's that involve getting your savegame and/or minidump file that is automatically generated on a crash - shows up in your main BtS folder.
2) We need to know what SVN revision you're on, or if you're using the basic v26 release.
3) If you're using the v26 release there was a patch. But v27 is right around the corner and it should be a lot more stable.

I don't know if I'm having the exact same problem, as I'm not getting a "CTD Error", but I can take exactly one turn on the world map scenario before it dumps me onto my desktop.

I have the patch, as well.

CTD is Crash To Desktop, so what you're describing is exactly that. A number of CTD errors were resolved since the v26 release. I'd suggest just downloading v27 tomorrow (presuming its available to do so then.)

Well, I got the current SVN version aaaand...

Its starting with more than half of my civics blank slate, and trying to select the base-civic and having a revolution gives me a CTD.

Did you start a new Custom game or a Play Now game?

If you started a New Custom game you probably should've held on the Shift key to clear the cache. A Play Now game automatically does this.

As for "Its starting with more than half of my civics blank slate..." got a screen shot you can show this?

What "World Map scenario" are you trying to use?

More details please. :)

Pre-Columbian Earth scenario.

I'm updating my version right now, to see if that helps. After that's in, I'll give her another go and see what happens. Tell me more about this cache clearing though.

Civ (BtS in this case) uses a caching system to retain preferred settings. But the settings you used for one mod may not be good for another mod. So you can do 1 of 2 things "clear" the cache file (2 way to do that) or use the Play Now that automatically does it.

Since many players use Custom Games or Custom Scenarios the method needed here is to either:
1. Hold Shift key down when Mod loads
or
2. manually delete the cache files (and at the moment I've forgotten where those are-Duoh!)

There is a FAQ thread that has this info in this Forum.

I don't know if the Pre-Columbian Earth scenario is 'current' with C2C. Might have to ask in the Maps subforum.

Have you tried just a Play Now game of C2C to see if it works for you?
