Can't install a game.

MS just says not to use certain characters in the filenames, which is useless if you're not a developer. Didn't see the "user manual" within the CD directory. Any idea?

p.s. PLEASE don't say not to worry about it or that it's not worth playing anyways. I like this game.

Also remember it happened with SimCity Classic but it was fixed by swapping installers. But I want the nice manual that comes with this one.

Try installing it with custom options and picking yourself where it is installed.

I've tried it, didn't work. Default, wanted C:/Maxis, I put it in C:/Maxis/Games.

I figured out something though: The program files *were* there, just didn't show up in the start menu. I got the manual by manually (no pun intended) downloading mviewer.exe and then associating MVB files with it.

Program Manager was removed in XP SP2 - if the installers for your Win3.1 stuff actually work you'll just have to make the shortcuts manually each time.
