i've installed gotm 21,22,23,24,25 setups have latest patch civ1.29 but i can't run the gotm 33 greece because it can't load eqworker.ini (error on 37% loading).
I renamed my worker.ini file to eqworker.ini and the game worked but it always crashes when i make contact with some 'newer' civilizations like Spain. I think I miss some add-on for a game because i cant contact civilizations which came with gotm's 21-25.
Help please, thx.

My guess is you've installed the add-ons into the wrong directory. Make sure that the directory you are installing all the add-ons into is the one that contains the executable that runs when you click the Civ3 shortcut. You can check the path for this executable by looking at the properties for the shortcut.

i checked the path and installed everything again, same problem with eqworker :/
i dont think i installed it in wrong folder, problem is somewhere else

Please can you look in your Civilization III\Art\units\ folder and see if there's a folder called eqWorker in there? If so then it should contain a file called eqWorker.ini. If not then the installation of the first add-on has failed or is in the wrong place.

PS Are you sure you installed the FULL gotm21 installation and not just the gotm21 add-on? eqWorker was actually first added in gotm17, so if you only installed the gotm21 extras you will be missing the previous bits.

I checked and I have full gotm21 installed and i still don't have eqworker folder in units folder, it is in some other add-on? Are you sure that is gotm21full?. I'm pretty sure i didn't install it in wrong folder.
I went here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=71788
and looked files at gotm17, there is Squid and Spartan Hoplite units but no eqworker (what is it anyway?). I'll go through other files and try to find eqworker in the link above.
If someone knows how i can install this eqworker please post a link.

An eqWorker is a Worker modified so that it can't be sold, I think.

If the GOTM21 Full installer is not putting it into your installation then it must be putting it somewhere else. Have you tried using a Search to see if it's been put somewhere else on your hard drive?

eqWorker is just one symptom. There's no point in fixing the symptom, you have to find out why it didn't work because other items will not have worked either.

[EDIT] I donloaded the full gotm21 installer and installed it to an arbitrary folder on my crummy PC. (I don't have Civ for Windows). Because the folder I pointed it at didn't have \Art\units\ folder it created it, and then it put the following items in it:

i will search for it now but i dont understand why it doesnt install where it should (i checked the path)

I downloaded separately from gotm17 eqworker and other needed files so that should work now (i hope so). One way could be to manualy install files for all gotm's from 17-32 but it will take quite long.

But once game crashed when i contacted spanish so that probably means everything is installed somewhere wrong as you said.

Going to search now, and manualy install gotm17 files.
thx for help, i'll post here if i have new problems.

An interesting thing: i installed gotm21_v129_full_setup.exe to empty folder on my disk: c:/lalala and after instalation there are only two files: unins000.dat and unins000.exe .

Noooo! If you just install gotm17 you still won't have what you need. Also, what makes you think you'll get them in the right place when you clearly don't have the gotm21 files in the right place? Sorry, but I've been in tech support for more years than I care to remember one way and another. Trust me, if you go down that route you'll never get there :D

How big is the installer you ran? It should also have installed two folders - Text and Art. Did it complain that there were no files called resources.pcx and resources_shadows.pcx?

When you start the installer, it will come up with a 'default' directory path, which is often not the correct one. As Alan said, you need to use the browse thingy to set it to install to the Civ3 directory. Search for eqWorker*.* on your PC, and see where it has installed it. :)

I installed everything from the beginning and this time there is eqworker :).
Some icons are missing in civilopedia (they are coloured red or with '?', i contacted arabs fine, koreans have some flag (when talking in diplomacy) and game crashes when i contact spanish.
I guess i didnt install spanish pack correctly (what pack is that)?
almost everything fine :)

Korea is supposed to have a flag. Yes, the civilopedia has some missing icons. It sounds like the only problem is the Spain one, and that's a known issue ...

With the Windoze installers there's an extra step for the Spanish, I think. You have to make seven more copies of the Art\filcs\spain.flc file and rename them spain1.flc, spain2.flc ... spain7.flc. If you do that, you're probably ready to go. Well done

Is that a joke or? 7 copies? :)
I guess i could play whole game without contacting spain :)

I never joke! :joke:

Right click/duplicate seven times, right click rename seven times? What's the big deal?

Hm again crashed:

peadiaicons.txt missing entry WON_SPLASH_56

It is my turn and in one city game reports i made swordsman and the crash after that, i think game should reported after swordsman that Forbidden Palace is finished.

I have installed pediaicons.txt from gotm33 files and i checked in it and there is no line WON_SPLASH_56.

Can someone upload or give a link to this file, its small.
