Statement Regarding the Situation in Italy

For immediate release.

The United States government announced today that in addition to the condemnation issued earlier this month the United States is taking further actions against the Commune of France and Republic of the Sicilies.

The United States has suspended all international agreements with France and Sicilies and has revoked trade rights extended to organizations based in both countries. Four ships that are currently in United States ports along with other property belonging to individuals or organizations based in France or the Sicilies have been temporarily seized by the federal government.

The United States is committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict but will take any and all measures necessary to protect the sovereignty of the Italian Federation.
