what kind of car would you like to own and drive?
would it be a classic (model T, 40's cars)
or perchance a recent one (like a brand spanking new Mercedes S-Class)
you could also go for a Mini or Smart.

mine is this 1948 bentley :worship:

Something that will protect me when I inevitably smash it into something.

So, none of the above

Actually, if price wasn't an issue it would be a limo driven by someone besides me.

There are just too many to chose from! Tons of beautiful cars were made between the 50s and the 70s, and i want them all!

A MGA would be a great start:

And if i ever get really rich, i'm going to get a JaguarXKSS:

European and japanese cars from between 60s-90s. I hate the smooth rounded up look of the modern cars.

Also, nothing beats the Volvo amazon. I'm gonna get me one. :D

American muscle cars from the 60's and 70's.

What do I vote?

I was wondering exactly the same thing.

BTW, any car older than 16 years is considered "classic." Pre-WWII cars are called antique.

Flawed polls are so annoying.:(

I love that '48 Bentley, too!

EDIT: A "restored classic racer" is not a "hot rod." A hot rod is a classic car that has been modified.

The poll is missing the AMC Pacer-best car ever made!

well, since i call that era of cars - junk, i stand by my referal to antique cars as classics, and classics as other various type :)

i never claimed to make the perfect poll.
just a generic one.

for muscle cars you can choose 70-80 sports car?
i also added a hot rod option.
not prefect matches, but close.

Sorry about the harsh words. I'm tired & upset about having to send a kid to jail today. My apologies.

I like several of the options so it's too hard for me to choose one. Antique cars, American muscle cars, 50s chromed out cars are all great to me. Hummers are too damn big. How does anyone park one of those things?

no need to apologize.
all atken in good spirit :D

not your kid, right?
i know it probably wont help but i think people make thier own choices.
the kid chose wrong!
hell pay for it.

and those hummers?
parked like this?

I have two, actually. Ziggy has one, a classic Dodge Charger, my preferred year being 1970. My other is a 1931 Chrysler Imperial, either the Phaeton or the Convertible Roadster.

I'd rather have whichever is most expensive.

And then sell it.

If it ain't a Chevy Silverado, I don't want it!

I love small fast cars, like the insane Clio V6 (1.5 tons and 270 ps!) or the 80´s R5 from Renault or the Lotus Elose.
My favorite design though is the Lamborghini Countach (Diablo ,Gallardo and Murcielage look ugly imho)

I voted : 70s americana cars - Lincoln Town Car .

The reason is that I'm a fairly big guy (6 ft. 4 in., about 250 lbs.), and while I prefer the looks and performance of other cars, there's no substitute for comfort. These cars were built nice and roomy, and while they may be gas guzzlers, I'm assuming that since price isn't an issue, that the cost of gas isn't either (I just payed $2.99 a gallon this morning, it sucks). A lot of newer cars, including some of the larger models, just don't have enough leg room anymore. In a lot of the reasonably big new cars out there (I'll use the Impala as an example), I don't even need to put the seat all the way back, but it doesn't matter, because my knees hit the console when I am the right distance from the pedals, steering wheel, etc. Basically they think about length, but not the width of the seat, or the vertical distance from the floor to the steering wheel, instrument console, etc.
