You need the OLD Formations module Afforess made for AND, i absolutely HATE any fighting unit(s) over 3, its just a more strain on the graphics memory (card), for the same results, thats all. (Thats just another reason i dont like Civ V, but most of all because of those stupid icons above each units head, absolutely ridiculous, IMHO).

Thx strategyonly, so please give some link to that formations module, becouse when i chnge anything i formations the game crash to desktop too.

No offense, but you'd have to look it up either in the MODPACK area, or the Development area under RiseofMankind modmod's.

ok thx, start downloading. So i must delete from your mod all files contain formations and copy that from rise of mankind, right?:)

I downloaded version 25 today and my civilizations are messed up. First, reading the features page, I am missing quite a few. Also all the civs that aren't missing, are all missing their UU and UB. I did have issues while downloading. It said something about a corrupt file, but I kept trying and eventually the download worked without the corrupt issue.

Welcome to C2C and CFC.

Civs don't have unique units and unique buildings in C2C. In c2c your starting nation is just a place holder that provides you with a Basic Culture which is related to the civ you chose. You then have to build the Nation Cultures which depend in technologies, terrain, terrain features and resources. These Nation Cultures are great wonders and provide access to units, buildings and heroes based on that culture.

I seriously doubt you are missing any civilizations. Cultures and civilizations are not the same thing. There are more cultures than civs.

No civilization has a UU or UB. They come with cultures which you get by building wonders which have a variety of requirements like one or more specific resources in the city's BFC (which must be improved and hooked up so you get the resource).

You may be the playing as, for example, the German Empire but you are not culturally German until you get the German culture wonder built. Until you are culturally German you can not build the German UU/UB/Hero type stuff. EVen though you are called the "German Empire" you may never become culturally German, but you might end up with French culture because of the things available on the part of the map you are on.

In essence, your civilization only provides a name for the civilizations, and a matching leader, a list of names that will be used by your cities, a flag, the civilization's color(s) (as show on the map), and some style type things (appearance of some units, the language they speak when selected, that sort of thing). This makes it easy to remember who is who. Each civilization has a regional type culture (European, African, etc.) which acts as a prereq in determining which culture wonders you can build (you need the European culture to be able to build the Roman culture wonder and get the Roman culture). There may be a more detailed list of exactly what the initially selected civilization gives you somewhere, but this should be most of it.

An explanation of this really should be in the FAQ. It comes up more often than at least half the things in it, possibly any of them except perhaps the first one.

Alright thanks that clears things up for me. That would've taken me a while to figure out without both explanations so thanks:) The thing that confused me and is the reason why I thought I was missing civilizations was the picture that lists all the features on the C2C thread in the modpacks section. On it it says something about having more than 125+ civilizations with unique units.

Yeah strategy only I don't think the first post in this forum really sums up c2c fully. I was hoping that maybe you could improve it in some way shape or form

I think that's what the FAQs sticky is for.

I don't think you can "cut and paste" modules from one mod into another willy-nilly like that, even if one is "based" on another.

Pawel, it'd be good to consider that you're effectively asking SO to walk you through making a modmod of someone else's mod, which is rather a lot to ask of someone who does this for fun during his free time. If you're that devoted to making this formation thing work, It might be more productive to learn how to make mods yourself. ;)

Oh so this is too many work, anyway thx ls612 for sad information:(

It may not be. Try copying the C2C_CIV4UnitSchema.XML from Assets/XML/Units into the Assets/Modules/Formations/XML folder. Then replace the current Formations_CIV4UnitSchema.XML with it by either renaming it (best bet) or editing the CIV4UnitInfos.XML and changing the schema name there.

Edit You will ned to go through the XML file and make sure that each art define used is defined in c2c otherwise it will CTD without error.

Dancing Hoskuld thx for tips, but i really trying that method before and it didnt workd:(.I really dont know how to do that, my ideas is gone:(

Guys, the User Settings folder no longer has options for the mods integrated into your own. How do I edit those settings before lauching a game?

You have to play at least 1 turn and save it before it works, then take a look. It might take 2 saved games to work correctly for some odd reason it works that way:crazyeye:
