Since Tom2050 started his Heroes of Might and Magic III thread I've just been playing that game again, but now I must dig up the old Conquests CD.
Not a great release date for me, so early in the working week. O dear, I'll look awful at work. :crazyeye:

Civinator... and anyone else interested, I changed a Wheeled Unit to move only once and even though the wheeled unit was with another Non Wheeled Unit, The AI stopped attacking areas with the Wheeled Unit where it should Not be able to Attack. I am not sure if this will also be the same for Escorted Units but that could be tested.

Vuldacon, can you please post a screenshot or a detailed description of the settings you have exactly done with that unit? :)

Civinator... it is very simple. Set any settings you want for the Wheeled Unit but only give it one Move.
The Wheeled Units I am using are Monster Zombies. They have ALL Standard Orders, Load, Enslave, Upgrade, Capture, AI Strategy is Offense and Defense, Very Strong and 3 Hit Points. Set as Wheeled.

They would attack where they should Not when set with 2 moves and another Unit that moved 2 tiles was always with them and this seemed intentional because the Unit that could move to areas where Wheeled Units could not were with the Monster Zombies almost always.

After setting the Monster Zombies to move only one tile they do Not Attack where they should Not as Wheeled Units and the AI no longer has the Other Non Wheeled Units travel with the Monster Zombies as before. Not One Monster Zombie attacked anywhere they should not in a game where as before it was happening very often.

Before, when the Monster Zombies did attack where they should Not, the Game did not freeze or crash but the Monster Zombie was between the Tiles and I could not attack it. The Next turn, the Monster Zombie would move out of that in between Tiles area... very strange.

The Screen Shot is of the Monster Zombie between the Tiles after Killing an Old War Vet. A Zombie Nurse was with that Monster Zombie before the Attack and the Nurses Move all terrain as Roads, 2 Tiles. This No Longer Happens Now :)

Vuldacon, thank you for the explanation. :) Unfortunately for CCM a lot of units with the wheeled flag need two or more movement points.

Civinator... Yes, having to use one move is a problem for the wheeled units that need more.

I found it adds to the Wheeled unit explanation as to what allows a Wheeled unit to attack where is should not when a non wheeled unit is with it.

At least we know that the wheeled unit needs two or more moves and be with a non wheeled unit in order to attack where it should not.

This has to do with the programing for the AI. The AI can Upgrade a Unit and use it that turn.
Many differences compared to the Human Player :)

OMG!!!!!!? Why is the link dead for me??? You teased me to much now what i always think about is thia :O :O :o

Unartis, thank you for your corrected list of Austria-Hungarian city names and it is nice to see this thread again appearing in the forum. :)

So this thread many years ago was originally meant as a preview thread for the first version of CCM (now CCM1) and now we have CCM1, CCM 2, CCM 2,5 and soon CCM 2.6, the title "CCM (epic mod) preview thread" is always actual as long as a version of CCM is in development and now it can be used for the preview of CCM 2.6, too.

I will take those city names into consideration for CCM 2.6, so with the use of German umlauts (ö,ä,ü) and some accents, problems were reported by some civers.

I also consider to add Esztergom to that list, a city with a wonderful cathedral on my bycicle tour from Vienna to Budapest several years ago.

I'm glad I could help,
Long accented letters also caused a problem for Civilization III, although not in city names.
