CCM3 Epic Mod

jlvfr Thank you it worked. Another question: can I use the map editor and play on a modified map CCM3?

:yup: Yes, as with any other Civ 3 mod, you can import maps to the CCM3 biq and give the new biq with the imported map a new name. The problem mostly is, if the resources on that map are fitting to the resources of CCM. kakdelaa, if you need instructions in German language I can help.

I kinda feel stupid but I can´t install CCM3....... In a desperate measure I removed C3 and installed C3 again, then applied (for the first time) Flintlock's addition. That worked but adding CCM3 does not, I don't even see the CCM3 icon. It's depressing I was so looking forward to play it.... I had a laptop in which I could continue my pending CCM2.50 games but that laptop broke down, so now I have only a vanilla C3 with Flintlock.

XTC, the CCM3 folder and the CCM3 biq outside that folder should be in the C3C scenarios folder. So when you have installed the Flintlock mod correctly and start a C3C game, CCM 3 should appear in the Content option when starting Civ3 Complete.

When you look into the installation with the editor, you should find the CCM3 folder and the CCM3 biq in the conquests\scenarios folder (not the Civ 3 Vanilla scenarios folder!).

Do you need supply shipment and victory points clicked on to make supply shipment work? I'm getting supply shipments now delivered. However, I don't recall needing victory points turned on.

My computer will be occupied during the rest of the day, Civinator, tomorrow I will make screen prints of the directories maybe then you can see what is the cause of it.

Victory points are not needed to be turned on for supply shipments. That is why there is no hint in the players setup screen, that to enable the "Victory Points" box is needed for CCM and RARR. For supply shipments it is sufficient, that the box supply shipments is enabled. There was a time in the past, when I thought this option must be enabled for supply shipments, too, but I was told (by Arexander ?) that this is not needed - and he is right.

@XTC CCM files go into the Scenarios folder. NOT the Conquests folder. That should fix you up. Move the CCM folder and CCM.biq and you should be good to go.
:yup: Yes, this should fix it. Civ 3 Complete should only be sufficient, if it is the GOG or steam version of Civ 3 Complete for using the Flintlock mod. A test with the German PC games exe for CD versions of Civ3 Complete was not working for me, but this test was not very intensive.

I hope that today I can post the updated biq and civilopedia file in post 2 of this thread.

Thanks for your replies, SayHayKid and Civinator. My directory shows now this (image 1) and indeed CCM3 now shows up in in Civ-Content but still something must be wrong as you can see in image 2.

XTC, your text, Art and sounds folders and the scenario.c3x_config file must be inside the CCM3 folder.

These are much too less informations to give you any help. What editor are you using? Recommended is the Quintillus editor, as otherwise the limits for a cultural victory in CCM could be destroyed when doing chances in the biq.

Did you set to allow cities in tundra and desert after you had imorted the new map?
May be you have only disabled the view for resources on the map in the editor?
What map are you trying to import?

:)Where can I download Quintillus editor?
The Quintillus editor is an advanced editor for modding C3C. It can be found here, but it also needs Java:

https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/cross-platform-civ3-editor.15288/
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/cross-platform-editor-for-conquests-now-available.377188/

The Quintillus editor is recommended for modifying CCM2.5 and 3, as the the limits for a cultural victory in CCM 2.5 and 3 due to the "culture-bombing" units had to be set way above the limits that are possible for the Firaxis editors. If there was done a saved change in the CCM 3 and 2.5 biqs with a Firaxis editor, there should always be done a check, if the victory options for a cultural victory have still the high values of the original CCM 3 and 2.5 biqs.

Among the many additional advantages, that the Quintillus editor has, compared to the Firaxis editors, is the advantage of a better import of resources that have different names and slots in the imported map and in the CCM biq: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...ts-now-available.377188/page-58#post-15724926

When looking on your screenshots 4 and 6 it seems, that the import of the map and its resources was successful. It can be that in the editor you have accidently enabled the Clean Map option and by disabling you will see the imported resources again in the editor. In that case they should also be on the map when playing a game.
