CCM3 Epic Mod

Hi Civinator.
First of all - great mod ! But ... played as The Usa got this error

Tried to find this line in Pedialcons but I've found only in line art Sankt Georg Class, in Animnate_Prto couldn't.
So, what to do?
 
Can confirm, and while I was looking I also noticed that the Kaiser Karl VI Class has two #ICON_PRTO sets, one calling AC-XX.pcx and the other Roca_XX.pcx.

Arexander thank you very much for confirming that error and reporting another one in the pediaIcons file. :)

Both errors are fixed now and a new version of the pediaicons file is posted today in post 2 of the CCM 3 thread. In post 2 also the list of other mods and scenarios, that need the CCM 3 files was expanded by the old classic Worldwar 2 scenario WWII_the World at War, that now is playable again.

SombreDaddy, please simply replace the old pediaicons file in the textfolder of CCM 3 with the new pediaicons file in post 2 of the CCM 3 thread and than you can continue your game.
 
Thanks a lot but still have the same error... Now I can see in Pediaicon Sankt Georg Class but nothing change...

SombreDaddy, if you have made no own changes to CCM 3, can you please post a save file before that crash so I can have a look into it.

No, I didn't do any own changes. But I have 2 questions about this error.
1. Is Sankt Georg Class build by some wonder? Super Drednougth or something like that? I remember few years ago got similar problem with some mod and I didn't build some wonder and I hadn't got error and could play.
2.If point 1 is true. Maybe, if it isn't complicated for you , just replaced for me in individual file Sankt Georg Class on another ship?
This is save file - before error.

Yes, the Sankt Georg Class can been built by an update of the autoproduced unit by the SW Cruiser Project (as can be seen in the screenshot below).

When playing your save file with the updated pediaIcons file, I had no crash on my pc when playing the next two turns. But I noticed, that the information in the civilopedia about that ship was missing, only showing the "blanc" civilopedia entry. The whole problem was caused by a change in the pediaicons entry of that unit and that entry had to be fixed in the civilopedia, too. Therefore today I updated the civilopedia text file and posted it in page 2 of the CCM 3 thread. Now the civilopedia text for that unit is visible again, too.

SombreDaddy, please download the new civilopedia file in post 2 of this thread and replace the old civilopedia file with the new one in the text folder of the CCM 3 folder. If all is installed properly, you should not have any crash any longer and receive the full civilopedia information for the Sankt Georg Class and the ship that is upgrading to that class.

Problem solved :) Just reinstaled Civ and for now everything is ok. Maybe I did some mistake during instalation your mod. Thanks for attention :)
 
For Southern Africa, the Civilopedia says that they are "expansionist and militaristic" and start with a scout, but at game start it says they are "agricultural and militaristic" -- and since I didn't start with a scout, I'm thinking that one is right. I know it's a small detail, but it looked like you were interested in those. This is an amazing Mod, playing this over Civ 7. ;)

Southern Africa in CCM 3 is agricultural and militaristic (and religious and with AI flavor).

This is shown correctly in the screen when starting a game.

Unfortunately the description shown in the civilopedia during the game was not updated here and is still showing the old traits. This will be fixed in the next version of the CCM 3 civilopedia.

If you want to mod the CCM 3 biq please don´t forget, that it was created with the Quintillus editor. Two days ago on my new Win 11 pc I tried to import the CCM 3 resources and terrain to my CCR project with the standard Firaxis editor, as the Quintillus editor was not installed there - and was shocked that all settings for resources on terrain were gone and all settings for resources on terrain were completely blanc.
But when looking on my old Win10 pc with the Quintillus editor installed, all resource settings for every terrain in the CCM 3 biq are still there. :hammer2:

Obibiber, the BLDG_entry in the pediaIcons file for Admiral Yi´s Navy after adding the missing wondersplash was changed from Admiral_Yi´s_Navy to Admiral_Yi (see post 2 of this thread) and therefore a biq with the old entry BLDG_Admiral_Yi´s_Navy cannot find the entry BLDG_Admiral Yi. To continue your game with the old entry in the biq, you must replace the newer pediaicons file with an older one with the old pediaicons entries for the wonder and the wondersplash. I attache such a pediaIcons file to that post. I hope this works for you.

Can you please have a look in your current CCM 3 biq about the download date, as I am now wondering if I have replaced the old biq in the download.

Btw.: I soon will post a new CCM 3 biq, as a big error with the AI submarine strategy must be fixed.

Is it possible to edit a savegame and add ressources on the map`?

ive tried the civ 3 Multitool, but you cant add ressources.

I never had to edit a savegame, so here I cannot help you. When remembering well, the Quintillus editor has such a function for editing savegames, but I have never used it. May be this is more a topic for starting a new thread about these questions in the Civ 3 modding forum.
 
Civinator, I am having a problem that might be similar to the problem SombreDaddy had with the Sankt Georg Class discussed above.

I only have 1 city where I can upgrade the Niels Juel Class to a Coastal Defense Ship. It is the city with the Cruiser Project. It also appears to be the only city where I can build a Coastal Defense Ship. However, I can still build Niels Juel Class ships in all my coastal towns.
 
Jersey Joe I answered to your post in the current succession game thread, but of course I repeat that answer here, too:

The Coastal Defence Ship needs the virtual resource "Capital Ships" in the city where it is built or a ship is upgraded to it.

That virtual resource is only produced by a few coastal cities of a civ and the buildings that produce that virtual resource are all listed in the civilopedia entry:

The reason behind this setting is to limit the production of this kind of ships. The second class of pre-dreadnoughts (or for Scandinavia the coastal defence ships of the Sverige class) were mostly obsolete when their construction was finished. The other reason was my tendency to experiment with the new options the great C3X mod is offering. :)

Normal civs have 3 SW for producing that virtual resource, meaning 3 cities can build these ships if those buildings are not clustered in one or two cities. Britain has two, the US and for some ships the Lowlands have one option more.

Hello, thanks for this modpack Civinator. I am testing a game now in demigod difficulty and with 31 civs, demigod is very difficult tbh but i find it fun to play, especially when a civ with 200-300 k gold is nearby me hahaha i can get all the gold i need from them to catch up in techs by constantly being in war with them giving them one city and retaking it the next turn ahhah, but thanks to you and to Flintlock this modpack is very fun despite the long turns time :(.. In the next version of CCM 3 after some tests I have reduced the mapsize for 31 civs to 230x230. On my new pc the late game turn times on 250x250 maps with 31 civs are massively reduced.
