I just want to know, when you play as the Celts, what language are the select/order sounds in? Is it Irish, Welsh, Scottish, what?

I think it might be either Irish Gaelic or some reconstructed version of the ancient Celtic languages. Maybe someone who lives/lived in Ireland and pays/paid more attention to the Gaelic language TV channel than I did when I lived in Dublin could help out, but it definitely doesn't sound like Welsh.

What about the Holy Roman sounds... it sorta sounds like German.

By any chance, is the Native American language used in the game Lakhota?

I just checked it. It is, but with a very strong dialect. "Wat kann I führ die doan?" = "Was kann ich für dich tun?" = "What can I do for you?"

sounds like todays frisian, low german or something like that.

In Dutch that sentence would be "Wat kan ik voor u doen?"

It's a mix between German & Dutch. If I have to guess, i would say something from the Selfkant

This could be, that's not too far off from my guess. And there where some sentences I wasn't sure If I completly got every word.

That's because it IS german. The Holy Roman Empire is the First Reich. There were three in history. One as I mentioned. the others being Prussia, & Hitler's. I categorizied them by their morality. The First is good. The second, for my opinion is neutral & the third is, of course, evil. Reich in German means "Empire". Correct me if I spelled it wrong.

Actually, the First Reich was Prussia, and the Second Reich was Bismarck's era... you were right about you-know-who, though.

Have to agree with Civ4luvah2484 and r_rolo1(get some spellable nicks both of you) on HRE

You guys are all wrong!

The Third Reich wasn't evil... j/k

I don't know why you dig out the thread again to answer what has already been answered. Better someoner answer the OPs question.

About HRE:
As we already said, it is no plain german. It has a very strong dialect or even some dutch words. (But if you take a frisian dialect then it sometimes nearly sounds like half dutch...) But of course it is historically correct to take something resembling german.

Its hard to hear but I think its scots gaelic, its not Irish anyhow (or a very unusual dialect of it if it is)

I can't resist Hitler's moustache...

Anyway, what about the Native American language?
