Anyway, animating with Fireworks,
How I did this was:
1)I first created a series of gifs (One for each frame I would require) and then opened of Fireworks.
2) I imported the first frame into the active canvas.
3) Pressed the "New/Duplicate Frame" button (Should be located near the right side of the screen)
4) Imported the next frame into the image.
5) Continued in this way until all of the frames were in place.
6) Once finished, Select File->Export Preview (Or something like that) and set the format to "Animated Gif"

After all of this is done you should have a working animated Gif.

Thanks, it's rather easy to do aswell , just get animation shop 3 trial from www.jasc.com and animate away

I did actually try to do that...but I don't come here enough to see all of his avatars. I got five of his avatars - blurry, warped (hurricane), Happy New Year's 2004, and balloons - before Perfection posted his whole list of them.

I think it'd be really cool to have a collage of avatars - I have eleven Christmas ones that I collected. They are: superevie's avatar, fredlc's santa shark, chieftess's christmas settler, AoA's christmas hat, warpstorm's holiday-themed avatar, plexus' gun-wielding man, greyfox's christmas fox, gonzo's holiday wreath, Thunderfall's christmas avatar, my "no-santa" avatar, and my christmas tetris one.

There could also be a collection of old avatars - I have AoA's old avatar (stern person), ainwood's weird head thing, cgannon's character (man with thumbs-up), moonsinger's avatar (some woman), willj's sunglasses one, mojotronica's "movo" (tivo) avatar, chieftess' sun one, XIII's dragon avatar (when he was Knight-Dragon), aeson's orange soda, and killer's plane one. I think those are all classics and memorable for any CFC veteran.

AlanX - "Mac X"
Sir Pleb - "Blue Swordsman"
Karasu - "Escher's Hands"
Kinboat - "Panda"
Gengis Kahn - "Ram from NC with the spoon" (no longer active)
Lyonesse - "lions of course"
Ginger ale - "The logo"
Raen - "The portugal symbol?"
Ainwood - "red biohazard"
Mad-bax - "when it was Olie from the rollie pollie show" (not a big fan of the new one)
grahamiam - "Lorax"
Bede - "Blue monk"

These are just the ones that I can think of off the top of my noggin. I think what makes a great Av is:
1.) good graphics (of course)
2.) Says somthing about the user
3.) is consistent - I'm not a fan of the ever changing Avatar (sorry Tomoyo)

Oh yeah...I think my Av is pretty cool - Thanks to Lyonesse (the Queen of the Av)
