This is the first time I've won a prediction contest of any size since I used to terrorize my older brother's march madness pools 10+ years ago. I've been on a long slow slide since then for the most part. Feels good!
I didn't worry a ton about the wagers except in pretty general terms. Otherwise, the reason I ended up with such a high value on this game is that, gimmies aside, I felt there was some sense in putting a moderately high wager on a game where I was actually familiar with the teams. Also makes for an exciting finish!
That said, once it was clear I was going to be near the top in the contest I vacillated quite a bit on whether to switch to LSU for either tactical or predictive reasons. Decided I'd run with my initial instinct, and it worked for once!

i only changed to bama after i saw i was behind (but still in it), so that makes me feel a bit better about the whole georgia chokejob
