While plexus is foolishly trying to brave the climb down the chasm, I'm gonna threaten the spider with life & limb(sorry couldn't resist
) unless he spins me some sort of web to climb down with.

Wouldn't the web be better to go across the chasm, so we can get to the other side? I'm sure a spider web could support at least one of us at a time.

Lying around in the cavern are various small pebbles and dead insects. Other than that, nothing much.
The spider sees something on the other side; he begins to spin a web across the chasm. Within five minutes a webby bridge is formed. You poke him on to test it...
...his scream of "Aw crap! Nooooooo!" is heard fifteen minutes later. The spider had fallen through his own web and plummeted down. However, for some reason he falls back next to you.

As for me, I disregard Xen's orders and go further in the dungeon until I encounter 2 cave trolls. I call the rest of the group after cutting the troll's right hand and stealing its club. I used the club against the other troll. The trolls had 50 gold lying among flesh in their carcasses. Now how do we divide it?
say 50 lashings for the tresons thoughts of japanrocks!

although, I must repremend you japan- I am leader, and we decide things here mainlly by consensus of the group- as such, I think the other most skilled person in the group to act as deputy is Plexus.- as such it is he, and perhaps and a few others who i would eb willing to go of and do there own thing within reasonable limitations (man...i'm a little bit TOO "in chahracter" right now!)
but blatent diregard of orders isnt within reasonable limitations- as such I will let the others decide if there will be a punishement for you, and if so, what it will be.
I also wish to attempt to jump the passage
and to have our spider captive patched up- I HATE spiders, but thats no reason to be crule to it

I agree on the patching up, after all it did surrender to us. Looks like the spider web isn't strong enough after all.

So, this chasm doesn't seem very dangerous...not if falling down puts us back to where we were....

As Plexus says this, you can hear a rolling ball in the distance... 
You can see a hook on the ceiling right above the chasm. The spider hears the gigantic ball as well, and he spins a long rope on accident.
"Oh great!" he says while blushing. "I didn't mean to do that...."

The spider can't say anything considering that its DEAD!! btw Xen, no man is superior to the other so you're not a party leader
