I think that means you need the source engine. Technically, it should work with Ep2, but your best bet is to try it ( unless its not free, then contact the creator(s) and ask them)

That was exactly the one I was referring to.
Reason why I don't download large files unless I know they are useful is, again, because of the local ISPs with their ridiculous monthly download caps. So yeah, downloading files can end up being not free at all for me if I download more than 20 gigs in a month, hehe.

I wasn't really thinking of a mod in particular, I just thought about this issue when I noticed Philippe playing a mod called "Synergy", and I got curious about what it was, clicked on the game's name, and saw that it required "Half Life 2". Which seemed a little vague, hehe.
Don't you get Source SDK from any of the Valve games? Like, even TF2 and Counter-Strike Source? I mean, if you only needed Source SDK, why would they specifically write "Half Life 2" in the requirements. I tend to ask myself too many questions.

Synergy will definately require Half-Life 2.
I just checked the Synergy web site and it seems like any of Half Life 2's episodes would work. Damn Valve with their episodes crap, hehe.

Never played it.
For some reason, all I can think is that it's an imitation of Left 4 Dead.
I haven't actually played it though.

It is based off a UT2004 (iirc, could be a different UT) mod and uses the Unreal 2.5 engine iirc. It's cooperative, I beleive it has more than 4 players, many different knids of "zombies" (more like mutated monstors, they escaped from a lab in London), you can interact with the enviroment somewhat I know you can weld doors shut, and it has a few more generic weapons. It's also only $19.99 USD. Developed by Tripwire (Red Orchestra), I'm sure they will add some mroe of their own and community made maps in over time, especially since there are only 5 currently.
