CG8 - Playing By Morals...

Sorry about the Writing research. Must have forgotten to chose Mathematics after writing my writeup. ( I write as I play. )
Hope the lost couple of turns doesn't matter.

SaaMuel stepped out of Madrid. It seemed as if the world had been frozen for the last few days and had suddenly thawed. He had received the right to rule and was now ready to exercise it. He looked around his empire. Not bad, but a little small. He called upon the spirits and they told him where to send the next settler. His citizens were fine, and his settler protected. He now set off into the land of moral consciousness.
In his first season, his settler and guard continued to the promised site of the land of many horses.
In the second season a wonder occurs. “SaaMuel! We have received word form our warriors that a new people have been discovered. They are the Germans and we are equal to them.” This was all good and well, but everyone already knew of them and two other mysterious tribes.
In the third season, Barcelona recruited a group of men to hold up shields and defend the city with bronze. They were called “spearmen.” SaaMuel ordered another group of men to go to Madrid in five seasons. The settler reached the promised land, but would have to rough it for another season before he could settle down.
In the fourth season, another group of settlers emerged from Madrid. In 5 more seasons, a third group would be ready. Also, the sphere of Madrid’s influenced increased, making us even larger. “Aye, this is good.” SaaMuel was quoted saying. The city of Toledo was founded, fortified by a warrior as Barbarians approached. It set to building a temple, due in 30 long seasons.
Season five arrived, with the settlers moving to the land of the ivory coast.
Season six had nothing, really. However, SaaMuel noticed that there were more unhappy then happy people in Madrid. He hired a clown to keep the city from rioting. This did not affect the time it took for the settlers to finish getting ready.
In Season seven, our warrior accidentally stumbled upon the English homeland. He would move the next season, but this annoyed Liz.
In between seasons, we received a threat from the Mongolian people. They demanded 24 gold pieces. SaaMuel was afraid of these Mongolians. They knew how to ride on horses and had a greater military then us. Fearfully. SaaMuel gave them what they wanted. Liz told us to get out of her land, which we planed to do next season.
On Season eight, a settler is made in Madrid. The settler stays put for a season while the spearmen freshly drafted from Barcelona head to Madrid. The settler on the Ivory Coast, however, has reached his destination and settles down, forming the city of Santiago. (OCC: This is 1SW of the originally planed site to reduce overlap with Madrid.) Santiago sets off to build more spearmen to protect Spain. Right now, Spain was gaining 17 gold per turn to her coffers. SaaMuel set out to see what it would cost them for technology.
This shopping spree happened in Season Nine. With the a spearman guarding Madrid and another settler off to found the next glorious city, SaaMuel called up Hiawatha. He asked for Horseback riding and Hiawatha offered it to him for 2 gold every seasons for the next 20 seasons and 63 gold. A nice deal, but SaaMuel held off on it. He later went back to it, shook Hiawatha’s hand, and took him up on it. Next season he would try to learn the secrets of writing.
On the tenth season, SaaMuel went to see if he could learn how to write. He was tired of writing on rocks. Under his lazy eye, Seville riots. SaaMuel hired a barber to help everyone calm down. He was seen asking why people were fighting and asked “What would you want with a rabbit?” Apparently, the science of Mathematics is also known (OCC- Good choice on ‘Poly). SaaMuel calls up Hiawatha again and gives him 6gpt, something called a map and 54g for writing (OCC-again, I know I’ve fed the Leader, but I feel that we can get closer to equality.) So, the rule of SaaMuel was over. What would happen to Spain next, no one knows.
