Anyway, the first I've heard of this was when I looked at Wikipedia today, and it was in the news section. It seems like no one is really paying attention; poor guys, they declared a war and no one is showing up.

If we were betting, my money would be on Chad to "win" this war. Sudan is too unstable, and with Chad just completing an oil pipeline two years ago, they're getting a ton of money. (Their GDP grew 40% last year) It'll likely just degenerate into a an all out "Run around and shoot your neighbor so you can steal his cow" war though, instead of anything truly interesting.

oh dear- i hate how Africa is ravaged by so many wars- i guess the country has to go through this stage of development though. (everywhere else has)

doesnt help the 1st world helps reduce africas advance out of the 3rd world, and infact pushes it back so it can be exploited

I think a major poimt of progress would be for people to stop reffering to Africa as a country, and understand different African states (as in seperate countires, because Africa is a landmass) are indipendent of one another, and have individual and seperate needs that shoudl be attended to.

The player who controls Sudan went to the military advisor menus, and after a few clicks he got the message: "compared to them we have a weak army"; however after using the diplomacy menu on Chad he quickly saw that "our army is larger than theirs; that is good!"
