Changes to Universal Suffrage

I think that there should be some "Social Engineering"-esque option for slavery. When it's on, you can keep slaves, but your assimilation rate and internal commerce (so long as people have workers that you don't need to pay, free men must have lower wages than otherwise) suffer.

If the wonder just represents women's suffrage, they should call it Women's Suffrage. Abolition is tough to model in a game. Maybe abolition would cost you money each turn, but give you a bonus to the research and culture effects of your libraries.

No it doesn't, it represents the suffrage of all men and women; that's why the name was changed from Civ2. Yes, the abolition thing would be difficult/implement

All men and women would include slaves, though. Either we have to leave slaves out of "all men and women", or we have to envisage our slaves as having votes, which is implausible.

Well presumably Universal Suffrage would have to 'need' an abolition of slavery SW/GW beforehand.
