Changing Current Civ's Attributes

after reading that article, i bow before your infinite wisdom...the WC is quite awesome after all. now, please, convince me about america's UU and all will be well with the world...

Edit: though those guys were probably better at this game than i'll ever be...*sigh*, im still 50/50 on monarch, but having fun with it

I have posted many times about America and the F15, but with search disabled I cannot point you to any posts. Here's what I think.

America has the two best traits (for non-Archipelago maps). If they had a (strong) UU in the Ancient or Middle Age they would be way overpowered. With industrious workers and expansionist scouts, it is nearly impossible not to get off to a great start with America. If you could then time your golden age like you can do with most of the other Civs, it wouldn't even be fun to play with them. You would start fast in the first age, become completely dominant in the second age, and coast to victory in the third age. 4 of the 10 high scores in my Hall of Fame are Lincoln Teal and I love America just the way it is. We just won a Deity game, RBP11, with America (via diplomacy) and I don't think we even had a Golden Age.

If you want to improve, I strongly recommend a) Reading Cracker's Opening Play Article in the War Academy b) Reading Succession Game threads in the SG Forum, especially training games. Here's one that uh, might help you (shameless plug): EG1-Team1, and c) Play in a SG. The best way to get better is to play with other people and have them comment on your moves. And they're a ton of fun.

I know you have 46 posts already, but since you just joined this month...welcome to CFC!

Happy Civing!
