Changing Game Screen Resolution

I have been searching everywhere for a way to change the Game Screen resolution.. I have a Big screen and I want to make the game use a larger resolution (making more of the map visible to me at a time) but can find NO-WHERE that lets me do this and no info online..

I used to be able to do it in Civ II and hope this isn't impossible, Any help GREATLY appreciated..
