Chat for new players.

I finally got chat working! I've heard from a few new players that they would like to see a chat so they could get to know the other players and to have some questions answered in real-time and since our citizens are scattered all over the world I though it best to ask for good times first instead of arbitrarily setting one. So what days and times do ya'll think are good? Vets are welcomed and encouraged to stop by and answer questions.

I have created a #demogame room on the irc-chat.net network.

It can be accessed via a java client found at the bottom of each forum page, or using an IRC client. I use mIRC which can be found at http://www.mirc.com. The server is irc.irc-chat.net, port 6667. /join #demogame gets you into it

The only dumb question is the one which isn't asked. (couldn't resist saying that again)

The Chat Office is a volunteer-run information booth for all issues related to chats. Typically you can go there to get information on chat clients, how to log on, technical tidbits about IRC, and other good stuff. At one point we gave operator authority to the chat office.

For anyone who cares: because I'll be cramming for exams, I'll be pretty much unable to leave my room, except for food, so I'm hold a chat for new players and any one else you wants to come, from noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday, plus sporadic times tomorrow (Friday). The channel is #demogame
