Cheating in multiplayer games

arcades are too expensive. I like playing free online games like RTSs. There really isn't any cheating unless cheats are on, which they aren't, and unless someone makes there own game or just changes a game they have. If you are the host then you know you're not a cheater so there should be no cheating in the game.

ok

1. nobody really said RTS games are plagued with cheats. there are some cheats, but the guy who complained about cheat was a moron. (As i pointed out earlier)

2. Arcade games are not that expensive at all. In fact if you play RTS, and u are not that bad enough to be embarassed by any decent players, you probably goto internet cafe once every 2 weeks or so to brush up on ur skills. Thats like maybe 5 bucks you spend an hour. Even if I suck at a game, I dont spend more than 5 dollar worth of coins in one hour. And if Im good i can actually last a whole night on maybe 2-3 dollars. Thats not bad at all.

k well 1 i didnt see that you already called the guy a moron. And I dont even know where any internet cafes are near me. Are there any websites that locate them for you?

where do you live?

almost all major cities should have em. just look around. ask friends and stuff. you dont really need the internet to find these stuff. but, if u have no luck try googling. maybe some internet cafe might have their website that u might be able to find.

as for arcades, if you got tekken zaibatsu, shoryuken or soulcalibur website, they have lists of arcade around ur area with available machine as well as local community that play together.

have fun.

I've used the map hack in starcraft one time - found out that the other people were using it also by watching them chase my guys around when they had no other way of seeing them. I never did it in a "serious" game - ladder.

By the map hack, you mean "black sheep wall" or like a hack.

Cheating is for pussies (in MP games)

I "cheat" in single player game to try things, or pass impossible (for me) parts. It's always hollow finishing a game and having to cheat to pass a part (unless it's a bug....like a door that won't open)

But in single player, never, ever, never.

I assume the last sentence was meant to say multiplayer... Cheating in single player is fine since in some respects I would rather repeat a small section rather thn have to start right at the beginning again especially if its something stupid like misclicking... In MP cheating is bad...

theres no leveling in starcraft.

Unit levels are determined by how many upgrades they have IIRC, so they do level. Just not through experience.

Just so that you can pretend that a particular unit has been helpful in winning the game for you?

Maybe so you can add a somewhat-emotional touch, like WOW this guy has 43 kills!! Maybe I'll send him in first cause hes my new general. I used to think that way in playing the boardgame Risk when one unit would hold up against five or six dice rolls successfully.

If an explosion In BF1942 sends me high up in the air, I use the parachute to bring me down safely (I'm supposed to die, but it's the fall that kills me and somehow the parachute is always present, not only when flying).

It seems every time I play starcraft on battle.net I get back stabbed.
I really hate when people cheat(or bs) in multiplayer games.
Although, I was fighting against 2 of my friends in Goldeneye and they accused me of cheating.

That's one bad thing bout StarCraft its not like the AoE2 stuff where you can have actually a large amount of control over allinaces and stuff. You can lock teams, which is an awesome invention.

The mini-map hack that would update the whole mini-map even when you hadn't explored the area or didn't have anyone there.
