The AI gets free settlers to start the game, units are cheaper, they have more free unit support, can trade better, lots of ways. I don't think it was fixed it 1.29f, cause I bought it at 1.29f (a while after it came out).
That's not cheating, it makes it so the AI won't get complelty smokes and give people like Tomoyo a challange.
And the ai is "programmed to not "see" the map, or so they say. I myself don't belive it. But it kinda makes sense how a computer knows where a computer generated resourse is.
If I make a misclick and accidently send a stack of workers or a settler pair somewhere they shouldn't be, or accidently give the AI something I didn't intend to give them, I'll reload to correct my mistake.
I just live with it if i mak a mistake. The worse thats ever happened was when my daughter was "helping me" she bashed a few keys during a negociation with the Chinese. I (well she) gave them 20000 odd gold and a couple of techs for there teritory map, they got my teritory map to rub salt in the wound as well. I probably would of reloaded this one but so many turns had gone by i just couldnt be bothered doing them all again. A few turns later the Chinese declared war on me because i wouldnt give them a tech. A war fueled by MY money. They were crushed every city burnt to the ground, well all but one i was collecting countries capitols if you get what i mean. Rather irritating as i had other plans at the time.
