I think the lack of activity is caused by confusion. You're not used to a chess opening where pieces have disappeared.

Activity has been low all game. A lot of players haven't been heard from since the beginning.

The reason that there isn't much activity is because you only have to vote to move. It's like team chess with mafia variations.

For the second time, when I say "activity", I don't mean number of posts. I mean actually participating (voting, using abilities, etc.) The latter is seriously lacking.
Anyways, it seems like it was a great idea in my head but just didn't work in actuality, as all but very few were not interested enough to sign up or play once they signed up. Game is officially declared dead. Unless there is serious opposition, I will post everything from behind the scenes in a day or so.

That's a shame, if the game had gone on, I'm sure it would have become quite interesting, after all for the start of a game of chess it's pretty much the normal moves been taken, but between the chess tactics, and the mafia mindset, I'm sure it would have gotten pretty good.

I could try to redesign it for a smaller amount of people, and make sure to put a ton of emphasis on activity.
Well, I know for a fact that at least two people used abilities. One of those was me, and the other must have used an activity to whack White's knight. Unless the vote by black to "freeze" a piece results in the piece disappearing.
I was out of town for a couple of days and didn't get online often enough to keep up with everything. But it can't be just me not posting to cause the game to stop... Were you expecting more like 3-5 ability use per phase or something?

I expected people to use their abilities, of which I think 10 had, and almost none were used. Hardly anyone was voting in the allotted 24 hours, either.
