Ok, this is my first HOF attempt. Normally, I play emperor/demigod level games (and occasional forays into deity, and experimental games in Sid. Actually got beaten to the Great Library by a turn once, doubled my empire when a civ razed cities to the north for me!).

The regent start is just so I can concentrate on milking. For all intensive purposes, I'm a newbie at milking, and I have no idea about the "maximum possible score", etc. I just play for fun. ;) Also, I'm not going to use Moonsinger's utility for 2 reasons.

1 - Until later this week, I'm using an older computer.
2 - I like to play with what I get. I may reload to get a cattle or two, or just to get away from a volcano. (or settle and hope it erupts. ;)).

Difficulty: Regent
Civ: Iroquois
Tiny Map
80% Pangaea
Sedentary Barbs
Wet/Warm/5 Billion
Normal AI agression

Starting location: This looks nice. No river, but it has a lake.

Normally I wouldn't start a HoF game without a river but your 2 close luxuries should more than make up for that.

Good luck. What victory condition will you be attempting?

Good luck and wish you lot of funs with your first HOF game Chieftess!

Hey, wait a minute!

I thought HOF games had to be randomly generated epic maps. I didn't think mods were allowed? [/horrendous pun]

I know. I was cracking a small joke about Chieftess being a mod...perhaps too small.

@Chieftess: Milking? Why? You say you're playing a Tiny map, so Fast Finish would definately result in a higher score/earlier finish date....
Anyway, good luck! :)

Umm, I'll second what Darkness said, however, this could spawn a whole new angle to the HOF: best milking scores on tiny maps.

Sure the scores wont be as high as the fastest finish scores but I like the idea that you can finish a milked game in a couple of days rather than a couple of weeks, and we can compare the scores for milked tiny maps just like we compare score for any other types of game :)

...and good luck with your first HOF attempt Cheiftess!

Zerksees currently has a thread about milking a small map. I think the trick about milking smaller maps is to get a victory other than Conquest, otherwise Fastest Finish games would prevent these from ever making the lists. There's plenty of other conditions though...

......AND your thread has provoked some thoughts!

One of which is: We should have a Histographic Victory Condition in the HOF, especially for the smaller maps. In the past, we didn't think much about it because the HIGHEST scores in the HOF were ALWAYS Histographic wins.......BUT, now that we have tables by Map size.......Histographic Victory doesn't get recognized on a Tiny Map!

Time for a Post to Mr. Aeson, I do believe! ;)

hehe, of course! Aeson IS the score-keeper!

Anyway, I might switch to 1.20, since that patch just came out.

Chieftess, are talking about continuing your current game under 1.20 or starting over? Aeson once posted that C3C campaigns should be played under the patch they're started under...

I tried carrying on my current conquests game with the new patch but the tech tree was all messed up so am guessing a new games in order:cry:

Good luck, Chieftess!
And may Elune shine on you.

BTW, I would open the goody hut for a settler... or restart!

In regards to milking smaller maps, Its true that you can reach domination quicker on a small map, but the lack of terrain and potential population really hampers the ability to get a higher score.
