If you go traditions you can ask for open borders, rush in, take a city, and then fight on that ground giving you +33% combat strength to take out his army.

Well why not using extra GG for a golden age for more faster units buy/production?

They spawn twice as fast than anyone. If you warmonger a lot the free GG from Honor is like a free golden age. And keep it until you have a lot of pupet, then use it for faster culture/gold building production from them.
