Trying to get back into Civilization V, I'm going to record and comment my experience with playing China. CivV is a game I like, but have too little playing time on. I'm doing a slow-paced video series with focus on enjoying the game for its beauty and noticing all the both great and small stories going on within it. Episode 02 Obstinate Barbarians We need to clear a Barbarian camp to secure a good spot for our next settlement, but the Barbarians are stubborn.

Episode 03 The Great Library We are able to set the foundations for the scientific-minded Civilization we're going to build by grabbing the Great Library.

Episode 04 Barbarian Struggle We go on a dedicated campaign against all the numerous Barbarian incursions the civilized world is facing. We're not alone to have problems with raging barbarian hordes. The Arabs are also involved in a bloody conflict against this menace against mankind.

Episode 05 A Spot in the Desert In the middle of barren desert, that's where we found Guangzhou.

Episode 06 The Road West It's time to start connecting our cities so our progressive people can travel and move about and trade and whatnot.

Episode 07 Medieval Relationship Problems Unfortunately, William is not with us, and therefore he's against us, and we will soon have to deal with him accordingly.

Episode 08 The Crusade Against Evil OK, that's it, William! We can take no more of your expansionist evil!

Episode 09 Let us go up to Jerusalem After the war, we can focus on exploration again. We meet new friends and find some old classics.

Episode 10 Dey stoled me Terracotta! There will be reprisals for stealing my Terracotta! I just need to find out who did it.

Episode 11 Heja Sverige! We get to meet the land of solidarity, peace and diplomacy, led by one of its bloodiest and most brutal warrior kings.

Episode 12 The Greco-Japanese War Alexander and Oda are perfect neighbours. I don't think this is the last time we'll get to see these boys fight it out. We may just have to pick sides in the future.

Episode 13 Xian Time for some more expansion.

Episode 14 Our bestest friend William Let's all be friends in this perfect Brave New World. We also fight some pirates harrassing Guangzhou and also get a Great Artist.

Episode 15 Constantinople neighbouring Istanbul We meet Theodora. She's nice towards us, but she's doing really well scientifically, so she might be a really dangerous potential rival.

Episode 16 Renaissance The time has come for Great China to enter the Renaissance era.

And here's the next episode in our Chinese adventure. Episode 18 Religious Invasion We finish our second World Wonder, just as Theodora's Missionaries are starting to swarm over the border. Looks like we're in the religious game, whether we like it or not.

Episode 19 Upper Class Congress Where's our Human Rights Declaration, Limits on International Corporate Greed or the End of World Poverty!? Where are those declarations!? Where are the things that will make our planet a better place for everyone and not only a select few!? Instead we find out that the "World Congress" is all about useless stuff that makes me mad.

Episode 20 Proxy War Finally a reason to declare war on the Ottomans! Now we're going to get them for stealing that Terracotta!

Episode 21 Sailing the High Seas With the invention of the Caravel, we can start exploring the High Seas, opening up for a really exciting time in our history.
