Can you repost as a .zip.

This is the second game to run into the DATA IO unit at 37% with a .sav file.

I will restart a few turns tomorrow if I get a .ZIP.
 
Lee, I'm really beginning to think there's something up with your connection to the Internet there. I haven't seen anyone else having problems with the .sav files.

After Sunday's escapades, I had deleted the entire Civ directory, so I didn't have a copy of the .sav on my machine. But I did download the .sav from here and was able to verify that it loads successfully.

Pre-turn - Start upgrading our troops in the colonies.

(1) 1884 AD - FillerTown, FillerCity are formed.
Troop upgrades. Heading ships toward Alaska for possible transport duty.
Recall the large block off troops in Japan.

(2) 1886 AD - Auto-raze Ise (Japan) and Bizen (Japan)
Japan is destroyed as a nation.
Peace with England - phony war is useless.
OK - we can afford a fight somewhere.
Plant a spy in Zululand - he his caught - War with the Zulu [dance].
Less war weariness since they started it.
:( I missed the France mpp - it is going to really be war happy.
I knew the Iroqoius one was coming.

Instant battleship in Africa. I will need to invade Madagascar at some point.

Isipezi (Zulu), Amatikulu (Zulu), Berlin (France) are razed.
Gandasetaigon (Iroq), Kiohero (Iroq), Goigouen (Iroq), Lyons (French) Hamburg (French), Knossos (French), Stuggart (French),
Amienes(French), Delphi (French), New Umfolozi (Zulu) are captured.
We lost a modern armor army attacking Amatikulu :cry:
Begin shelling Lyon - Mech inf in a city on a hill - Way to tough to attack.
DuaghterOfFiller, SonOfFiller, YetMoreFiller are formed.

I destroyed alot of Zulu mech inf, but they have plenty left.
I am glad those troops from Japan started landing - I will need them.
Main priority - Dead France, I need to cut the number of fronts.

The French counterattack pretty much fizzles.
The Zulu counterattack does hurt -
Avaris is razed - but it cost them 12+ units to kill 3 mech inf.
What sucks - that was the ONLY city near the Zulu without walls.
I lost several exposed units and a regular tank army.
The Domestic Advisor is fired for suggesting building wealth.
What Iroqoius attack?

(3) 1888 AD - Well after seeing this cross my borders...

I know 99% of reinforcemnts to Africa.
Purely hit and run this turn vs. the Zulu - almost 100% dead are Zulu.
My artillery starts pounding the mega-stack.

Dijon (France), Ganogeh (Iroq), Kawauka (Iroq), New Castle (France), Tours (France) is captured.
Our armies are taking a beating - an almost full strength tank army can't kill a mech inf.
I can tell I am on the warpath, despite losing a city - need "just" 1812 more squares.

Zulus just shift direction - will have to move a mass of defenders that way - I won't attack mech inf on a hill.
War Weariness hits hard - hire massive enterainers in the 1/1 colonies - I don't think I ever spent that much time on hiring entertainers. :(

(4) 1890 AD - Our modern armor gets promoted for killing an impi :crazyeye:
Gayagaahe (Iroq), Kente (Iroq), Oka (Iroq), Tyendenaga (Iroq), Chondote (Iroq) are captured.
Bombing the Zulu SoD and Paris.
Several Zulu tanks impale themselves on SteveWasHereAlso - We lost nothing.
Hey I want to lose, let's hold UN votes.

The Zulu SoD is destroyed - most of the Mech inf had retreated, but still kill an obscene number of units. We lost - 1 mod

arm.

Paris (France) is razed - kiss the Great Wall goodbye - though it cost several mod arm.
Still more filler is formed.

As expected - The Zulu capture Akwesasne. I couldn't do much as the Iroqoius had almost NO railnet.

(8) 1898 AD - The Zulu invade Asyut. I probably won't hold the city - but I destroy the BB / Trans that landed the troops

there.
Rheims (France) is razed.
I capture Besancon (France), just size 2 on a island. I actually got to hear a marine go elite.
KeepOnFilling is formed.

As expected, the Zulu capture Asyut - How long to it flips back to us?

(9) 1900 AD - Unreal, I missed 1 settler spot - Greece already claims it.
Chartes (France), Rouen (France), Avigon (France) are razed.

DUMB - I should have finished the town before moving leader. No more to next turn.
FishFillerNorth, Fish FIllerSouth, SortaGibralterFiller, FrenchFiller, IceFiller are formed.

I decide to cleanup Greece - shouldn't take very long.
Mycenae (Greek), Sparta (Greek), Ephesus (Greek), Eretica (Greek), Athens (Greek), Thermoplylae (Greek) are captured.
Artemsium (Greek) is auto-razed.

Zulu bombers are still being a pain - but I seem to intercept at least one a turn.
 
(10) 1902 AD - MoreIceFiller, BorderPushFiller, IronFiller are formed.
Cornith (Greek) is captured.
Recover Akwensasne from the Zulu.
England / Zulu trade embargo ends.
Thats is - 1 Zulu Mech inf attacks BorderPushFiller ?
OK! The Zulu back has been broken.

(11) 1904 AD - The phony war ends - time to assualt the Zulu.
Ibabannago (Zulu) is razed. Guess what we get.

Summary - I realize a target that I will NOT fight - USA. Our culture rating crushes all players except him. I don't want

to accidently win by culture.

Down to 1235 more squares needed.

Keep rushing temples. How many more turns? Hard to say.
Deforesting America to rush them there.

Fleet by YetMoreFiller is to take Madagascar at some point.

This will be an unheard of domination game with a world map.

Current goal - Take South Africa, invasion of Madagascar, and keep rushing temples where the most bang for the buck....

Another Thought - after invading Madagascar - set the fleet toward the Atlantic - Maybe we can start claiming South Amercia, or invade England.

1908AD(1) - This spell the end of the Democratic China. China went into Anarchy! :( Tugela captured. Ngome captured. Swazi captured. Crete founded. Zulu nuke Ngome! :eek: Russia & England declare war on Zulu.
1910AD(2) - Hlobane captured. Isandhlwana captured with Newton's University. Zimbabwe captured. Zulu Spaceship destroyed. France declare war on America.
1912AD(3) - Bapedi captured. Intombe captured. Ulundi captured. There is officially nomore Zulu in Africa except off the coast in Madagascar.
1914AD(4) - Now that Zulu is off the mainland, the French navy finally has a taste of the Chinese artillery! :lol:
1916AD(5) - The Chinese empire is now a new Monarchy. Chinese imperial troops landed on Madagascar.
1918AD(6) - New Ngome on Madagascar captured.
1920AD(7) - Rennes on Madagascar captured. New Ulundi captured. UN now recognise Madagascar as part of the Chinese empire.
1922AD(8) - China prepare for the colonisation of South America.

We need to consider taking out Russia if we want a domination. War with America cannot be avoided for too long as they are build lots of Spaceship parts. I have begin the construction of a few spaceship parts just as a backup plan. ;) We need another 783 tiles for domination.

I haven't spent all these hours to settle for a space race.

I agree on Russia. I think the attack should have begun turn 11.

I am glad to see the start of South America cities. Every space counts;

I don't know how fast I can complete a round, but I got it. The invasion of Russia will begin during the pre-turn.

Bad news - I failed to make the fleet plan clear. Now stuck with a fleet near South America. Worse, to much military in South America. My goals was to invade England. I don't know if I can reach in time.

Cancel spaceship under contstruction - I didn't fight all this war for a spaceship win :mad:

I go threw the very time consuming process of selling all library / university / research lab and cancel those under construction. This gains us nothing toward domination. I use the cash to rush temples for border expansion.

WAR! Victory requires the death of Russia.
Cologne, Kazan, Yaroslavl, Sverdlovsk, Riga, Lugdunum, Kalinin, Yakutsk, Kiev, Sevastopol are captured.
Smolensk, Minsk are RAZED.

We get a great leader - General Tso - instant battle ship near London.
We get a 2nd great leader - Kublai Khan - instant transport near London.

With all of the new Russian territory, 658 more squares needed. Russia owns about 400, will have to squeeze more somewhere. Of course, all those temples rushes will pay on turn 6.

Russian counter-attack is a joke.

Lutetia, St. Pete, Moscow, Gronzy are captured.

We destroy the Russian Spaceship - Oh yea, a big threat.

(2) 1944 AD - Odessa, Bryansk, Krasnoyarsk (by marines!), Vladivostok, Hispalis, Vologda, Batum are captured.
Still rushing temples.
2nd transport heading toward England - Hmmm..., I wonder why?
BITE ME - America declares war.
426 more squares needed.

(3) 1946 AD - The Americans sent several armies across our borders :eek:
New Hamburg, Astrakhan, Rostov, Caughnawaga are captured.
WhyItsFiller is formed.
Begin massive airlift to Alaska.

350 more squares needed.
OUCH - Gewauga, Vitebsk are razed by America, the count goes up to end the game.
America kills 2 of our armies.
A Russian Destroyer kills our Battleship :mad: - The only for escort to invade Britian.

(4) 1948 AD - Portland, Novogrod, Tiflis, Murmansk are captured.
Russia is kicked off of the continent.
Get some revenge, kill an American army.
Exchange a lot of units vs. America, not sure who won it.
The first 16 artillery sneak between cities to land in Alaska.
Another massive airlift to Alaska - our airlift capacity is getting streched - I can't get troops there fast enough, I suspect I will lose a city or two this turn to America.

Barely a dent - need 326 more squares.

Tyendenga (1 turns from walls:), New World are razed by America.
Tyendenga was expensive for America.
America steals more workers, but most are now far from the borders.
Seeing a whole pile of expanding cultural influence.

(5) 1950 AD - ScandFiller, RebuildFiller are formed.
Kill an American rifleman army.
Need "just" 182 more squares.
American throws 3 armies at Akwensasne and razes it.
American adds a spaceship part - SS Statsis chamber

(6) 1951 AD - Additional armies arrive in America from the Alaska shuttle.
Scratch 3 American armies - Akwensasne was a phyric victory for them.
ItsBackFiller is formed.
Return the favor - Oil Springs and Memphis are razed.
Now need 163 tiles - I will have to get a few more border expansion still.

Albuquerque is captured.
Need **ZERO** tiles. Should just hit enter.
America recovers Albuquerque :( I hope that doesn't cost me another turn.

Amazing, just amazing: the longest running succession game is finally over! This game was started by das on DECEMBER 11 of last year. Congratulations are in order to those who brought it back from the dead, especially LKendter, donsig, and Dark Sheer. And domination victory on Marla's World Map? After that kind of tedium, you guys deserve a [party]

I am OVERBOOKED for the moment.
I don't think I will open another LK game until LK21 finishes.
Between running the training game LK23 and LOTR3 (emprorer training), it is a bit to much. RealLife(TM) is requiring some of my time.

I haven't even closed my books for January for my 1 person business :(
