Chinese SG, world map CSP, OPEN GAME

1838 AD - Sink a Japan bb/tran combo.
Avaris (egypt - after being rubbled) is captured.
Abydos (egypt) is captured, and we get the below wonderful message.
LAK-027.jpg

Take a break from temple ugrades - a stack of vet tanks are upgraded.
KendterTown is formed.
I get to cancel the massive deal to Aztecs [party]
Need 2846 more tiles for domination.
We get a bunch of WLTCD - I will enjoy it while it can...

1840 AD - Honolulu is formed - about time someone claimed that land mass...
Bombing Tokyo reveals the defense unit of a Samurai :flamedevi

Hmmm.... I even concede to many workers - Decide to idle all Indian workers - we have the most of them. Rush another temple near the Zulu. Rush walls along Zulu border. Rush temple in Shanghai 2 simply cause it is the only temple close enough with how much cash we have - plus it will help in the future on border locks with our future possesions in Alaska...

America / Zulu have nuke power - definite long term threat.

Pardon me, but do you have a spare army.
LAK-028.jpg

That excludes one on a transport, and a mech army guarding the Zulu border.

The cycle begins again - Rome allies with Japan vs. Us. Say hello to more African colonies...

1842 AD - Foolish Romans -
Viroconium, Ravena, Byzantium, Pompeii (Roman) are captured - more workers
The Demoic Rifleman in Byzantium kills a modern armor.
Scratch the Roman colonies in Africa.
I get a chance to killer the Roman Legionarry / settler pair in our lands.

In a different type of spending - further safeguard some colonies, upgrade to mech infantry. Rush a barracks, rush a settler.

Summary - Our only good trading partner is England - DON'T attack them.

Current goals - rushes temples / walls near Zululand - We WILL have to attack them at some point,

but I don't want Zulu Modern armor wandering around our rear - We need a solid culture block.

Kill Japan! - I just landed a stack of elite armor, 3 mech / settler pairs in Japan.
Next goal - Alaska, may as well get a foothold in North America.

Of course, it would be nice to take Italy - but lack of transports...

Passing the game to Arizona_Steve, then I want it back again after him...

Only need 2777 squares for domination - after secureing Zulu borders - rush temples with the most bang for the buck - you should see a few borders expand your turn.

Guess what I'll be doing all day?

Kill, crush, destroy

Seek, locate, exterminate (for you Dr Who fans out there)

Well I would like it back in 7 or 8 hours

When I talk the most bang for the buck temples,
this is a example.

LAK-029.jpg

Not only is NONE of the standard expansion zone (red lines) owned, but we should see border merger giving us some of the blue lines.

Waste of time temples - 90% within our culture borders, except those bordering with another civ...

MESSAGE to Arizona_Steve

The transport heading toward Australia is to build new cities on the island below Australia.

Will need to airlift a couple of mech infantry to Austrialia.

We need mech infantry more then armor, don't have enough city occupation troops...
I wonder why:crazyeye:

Inherited turn:
Not much to do here, as Lee has pretty much put everything in place for me. Just hit that space bar.
I was going to Chengdu to continuous army production, but that too has already been done.
Japan comes begging for peace. Kill, crush, destroy :hammer:
Lots of goodies are built. A couple of borders expand.

(1) 1844AD
Since we have modern armour I see no point in researching any more. I drop science to 0%, saving cash for temple rushes and tank upgrades.
I go along with Lee's plan to turn the whole world into one huge railroad.
Upgrade a couple of tanks to modern armour.
Rush one temple.
First attack on Tokyo gives us Ghenghis Khan. Tokyo is captured as it is close enough to Beijing to be productive. Ghengis Khan is moved in and forms yet another army. Four elite tanks are loaded in (which raises a question - units can promote within an army, but is it possible to get a great leader from one).
Settlers are fortified in Tokyo. Our task force moves outside Kyoto.
There is definitely a sadistic pleasure in turning our once beautiful countryside into one big railroad.
Japan places ONE samurai outside Tokyo. I am so scared.
Lots of things are constructed. One border expansion.

(2) 1846AD
Japan is so easy to kill I feel sorry for them. The best thing they appear to have is riflemen. What on Earth posessed them to think they had a hope in hell's chance against us?
I find it mildly amusing to unload six mech infantry and ten modern armor next to the lone samurai
I do my usual trick of moving workers to unimproved squares to build roads next turn.
Some of our mass of tank armies return to full health :)
Kyoto becomes Chinese. Funny, all the non-resisting Japanese are HAPPY. Probably because there's a marketplace and harbor there.
I left that samurai outside Tokyo. Too funny. He commits suicide against the mech infantry in Tokyo
America and Zululand end their trade embargo against us.

(3) 1848AD
Once again I have the joy of declining a UN vote.
The US mainland invasion fleet is formed. 5 transports full of assorted troops and four battleships. Just need to stack 'em up now.
Zululand and Japan sign a trade embargo against us. Japan also signs a mutual protection pact with England. There goes our main trading partner. Stupid English, they declare war on us without us even attacking Japan. Oh well, add them to the list.

(4) 1850AD
New Berlin is captured from the English. It's been irritating me for some time. Siberia is now a homogeneous Chinese mass :)
I send the infantry in to capture the lone English worker in the area.
Osaka is captured from Japan.
Temples hurried all over Africa to lock the Zulus into their little corner of the world.
Greece gives us a straight Right of Passage deal.
Russia gives us Right of Passage for 260 gold.
France is a little harder to convince, but 14 gold per turn buys us Right of Passage. Let's go kill Rome and England - can't have our tank armies sitting idle.

(5) 1852AD
The English town of Brighton is razed. Two English slaves.
The samurai from hell kills a modern armour.
Edo and Satsuma are captured from Japan, and the Japanese island is ours.

If anyone knows if elite units in armies can spawn leaders, let me know.

To be continued...

I have never seen it happen.

Well do keep a few tanks in reserved ...
We know war with the Zulu is coming some day.

Of course, taking out Rome and a foothold in Europe would be nice :)

You actually have a few more hours before I want it.
LK 21 is taking forever - and you will be up in that one.

You wanted war for the weekend

Continued...

Lincoln demands rubber. Lincoln is told to stuff his demands where the sun doesn't shine. We are at war with America.
Territory map swap with France? Why not. They're locked into an agreement and their reputation will suffer if they break it.
Mucho modern armour built, mucho mech infantry ordered.
We discover a new source of oil. I wonder who lost theirs.

(6) 1854AD
Hiawatha will ally with us against the Americans for Electronics and 200 gold. It's a deal.
Our US battle fleet is stacked up and ready to kick Japan off the American mainland, as well as giving us a foothold to wipe Hiawatha, Lincoln and Montezuma off the map.
Cumae is captured from Rome. Not to worried about culture flips, they don't have long to live.
Veii suddenly becomes Chinese.
Rome is now Chinese.

(7) 1856AD
Antium becomes Chinese.
Neapolis is captured. One more Roman city, stuck up in Finland.
Zululand and Rome sign a trade embargo against us.
Hmm. Trade embargo, and Zululand offers a world map swap? I take it as it'll trash their reputation with several civs.
America lands eight infantry outside Honalulu. Not sure if the single mech infantry there will hold.

(8) 1858AD
The English town of Warwick is razed.
Heidelburg is razed and the Romans are no more.

CSG1007.jpg

Do another round of temple rushing.
I wonder why the French are blocking two of our workers and a modern armour.
Every last square of Siberia is now railroded.
In a truly amazing show of heroism, our lone mech infantry at Honalulu holds off the attacking American infantry stack, losing only one hit point and promoting to elite.
France and Zululand sign a mutual protection pact.
Lots of border expansions.

(9) 1860AD
A small token of our love is unloaded near Nagasaki and Sapporo.

CSG1008.jpg

Australia is completely railroaded. Gotta love the continuing Himalyan railroading project - Note the Russian worker building a fortress in the middle of that madness

CSG1009.jpg

Two battleship/transport convoys are on their way to colonize the islands South of Australia.
Zululand and England sign a trade embargo against us.
America lands one infantry by Beijing 2. I'm scared.

(10) 1862AD
The Japanese city of Sapporo is autorazed. An ironclad and a galleon are destroyed.
Nagasaki is captured. Temple started to be rushed as soon as the resistance dies down. Airport next.
Matsuyama is captured.
America and Iroquois sign a pece treaty. Traitors

(11) 1864D
Stupid Americans won't talk to us. Their loss.
Temple rushed at Nagasaki.
Yokohama becomes Chinese.
Ise is autorazed.
Is this the World's first ironclad stack-o-doom forming here? There's a second stack of four right next to it.

CSG1010.jpg

To be continued...

Well by the time you finish here...

I will hopefully have LK21 done.

Sounds like it is time to send settlers to North America.

HEY, NO FAIR - You got to kill a civ.:p :p :p :p :p

Continued...

Zululand and Iroquois sign a Mutual Protection Pact.

(12) 1866AD
Hakodate is captured from the Japanese.
Shimonoseki is captured. Japan is reduced to three tundra cities.
England offers a peace treaty. I accept, along with a trade embargo on Japan.

(13) 1868AD
Airport rushed in Nagasaki. Time to take the war to Hiawatha.

(14) 1870AD
UN Elections? No thanks.
A million and one things are completed.

(15) 1872AD
Land some troops next to Toyama. Time to kill off Japan.
Nearly every worker we have is mothballed near Chengdu. There's no more railroad to build on our continent.
The rampaging American forces have destroyed the Aztecs.
Leader city finally completes the Iron Works.
England declares war on us due to their Mutaul Protection Pact. I'm scared.

(16) 1874AD
Toyama captured from Japan.
We discover a new source of saltpeter. Woohoo!!

(17) 1876AD
Straight Peace treaty swap with America.

(18) 1878AD
Fortify mech infantry and modern armour as it's churned out by our cities.
All is quiet, as the remainder of Japan is on an island and much of the time is spent ferrying troops there.
Jin Qiu appears in about the most awkward place possible as Fukushima is captured. I know it seems like a waste of shields, but he rushes a temple there.

CSG1011.jpg

Sapporo is autorazed.

(19) 1880AD
Colonizing the islands South of Australia. Excuse the silly names.
A mixture of modern armour and mech infantry is airlifted to Nagasaki in preparation for the assault on America.
More temple rushes.

(20) 1882AD
Suo is captured from Japan with no resistance whatsoever. It sucks, but there are still two more Japanese cities across Iroquois land. Seeing as the Right of Passage treaties with Greece, Russia and France are up soon, I'll leave those for Lee to kill off.
I offer Hiawatha a Right of Passage and no money changes hands. This can also be used to kill off that warmongering fool Lincoln. Then I gather the troops I airlifeted to Nagasaki last turn. Pity they have little in the way of rails there, maybe we need to build some for them. Finally, a possible use for our millions of workers.

At this point, I hand the game over to Lee.

Notes
Battleships and transports are fortified near Nanking, off the coast of the former Japanese island, and off the coast of Australia.
Workers are fortified outside Chengdu.
Our Right of Passage agreements in Europe expire soon. Kill, Crush, Destroy.
There's a number of modern armour on goto through Iroquois lands. They will arrive outside Ise next turn.

As usual, have fun. Looking forward to your summary.

File: Chinese Succession Game - 1882AD

Well I would have rushed an airport - oh well, to late now...

I have downloaded the game.

@Arizona_Steve - You should have LK21 for tomorrow, that game is beng a total, but productive monster.

Well I would have rushed an airport - oh well, to late now...
I thought about it and decided against it. Firstly there were enough troops on the island to take out the two Japanese cities remaining. Secondly, rushing a temple there provided a much faster benefit in that the borders would expand sooner.

I feel that an airport rushed there would've been wasted.

Pre-turn - Squares to domination, 2109 still needed.

corrupted game - ignore this post

A full map would take about 20 pictures - the game is a hugh map!

The current mini-map, and yes that is China in Italy.

LAK-040.jpg

that is a helluva lot of cities...corruption must be horrible

BTW how do you use that map thing? I have it unzipped in my save folder but I don't know what to do with it. The map thing is supposed to tell you how many squares you control or something

Corruption sucks - but any domination game will have a bunch of WORTHLESS cities.

Do have latest version - the 1.21 comptabile?
If not, start by getting it. The .exe version is much better.

I remember back when I last played this game. We were still trying to settle Australia! China did stretch from the Pacific to Turkey back then but now I see the Med is a Chinese Sea.

You've all done fine work with this game. Maybe someday I'll get a computer capable of handling these huge games!
