Choices and Chances

Investment revision:

Dropping the requirement that investments in multiples need to maintain the same level of investment. It adds an extra layer of complexity that I really think we'll all be better off without.

I'll just divide your total investment (your progress plus your base investment) by the number of units and round down.

So you have 15 Army units in development, but 20 EP invested in them total. 20/15 = 1.33 = 1. So a 1/5 chance of getting each of those 15 units.

I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks, do you think you could NPC my nation until I get back?

If you can give me a full set of instructions on military, economic, strategic, diplomatic, etc. goals I believe I could do this!

To avoid Tanipolarity, I will have to follow whatever you leave for me very strictly, so keep that in mind!

Hi all,

As you probably figured, something is up.

While I partly processed the update, my personal financial situation has created a bit of a snag, and I feel I need to remedy that first and foremost. That in mind, I regretfully inform you that I will have to prematurely cancel this game, right as it was getting good no less (Basilea Konstantina successfully diploannexed the Cradle in southeast Turkey so that would have been interesting to see the effects of).

In good news, the chance mechanics I made use of in this game have intrigued some potential GMs, so there may be a spiritual successor to this in that regard.

I appreciate everyone for pouring their time into this and I once again reiterate my regret at having to end it. Hopefully I will be in a position to effectively GM a game in the near future. :)

This was a fantastic introduction into IOT for me, and even though the game ended within the first few turns, every bit of it was fantastic. I am up for a spiritual successor to this game completely.
To my allies and my enemies, it was fantastic to play this with you. You all seem to be interesting players and interesting people and I hope to get to know you better during my time on this forum.
To Tani, this was a good game even with the abrupt ending. Ending it was probably for the best, and I sincerely hope your financial situation improves. Despite what others might say, you aren't a bad gamemaster (or whatever the word is in this context).

To all of you, I hope to see you again in IOT. May the odds be ever in your favor!
