City Graphics: Native North American

These are nice.. but they are based too much on stereotypes.

You cannot put teepees, longhouses, and totem poles together and call them North Native American. Totem poles were in the north/northwest, longhouses in the east, and teepees in the plains. No single tribe would contain all three of these.

Perhaps you should release an Iroquois/Cherokee city graphics with longhouses, a Cree/Tlingit/Haida with totem poles, and a Lakota/Cheyenne/Ute with teepees.

I don't really see the use for a teepee skyscraper. Teepees were used by nomadic tribes like how yurts were used by nomads in Asia. They are easily put up, taken down, and are carryable. It's like if the Mongolians today had yurt skyscrapers or Americans had wagon and tent skyscrapers.

It's still nice, I'm just requesting less stereotypical city graphics.

My aim was more to include all the native north american cultures I could, even if a city with teepees and totems is unrealistic. But trying to cover all of native north america in one city graphic sucessfully in any other way is also unrealistic. And although slightly stereotyped, I know, the inclusion of the teepee skyscraper etc. in the modern age was an effort to make it look as native american-ish as possible. Otherwise, it would look just like any other modern era city.

btw, I am making seperate graphics for each culture: My single era native north american cities pack. I presume those will be more to your liking?

I know you said it. :D Thanks for your criticism.

And thank you everyone :)

Update:

I redid the ancient era. I think it looks nicer now. Here's the download, preview is in the next post.
