City States UU

I like this mod very much. Thanks for your time! But there is a small "bug": It seems that de-/embarking units are cloned units and re-created when they switch from a water tile to a land tile and vice versa (therefore firing the event OnUnitCreated). If this happens within the border of an allied city state your standard unit can change to a unique unit depending on the unit type (I ended up with a Chu-Ko-Nu instead of my crossbowmen traveling through seouls borders).
 
thank you for the report, I'll add a fix so that only new units will be converted.
 
no, I've removed OSLO reference to keep this mod compatible with all others. I'll see if I can add a specific case for YnAEMP, but no promise here.
 
Can you check to see if this is compatiable with the Meritocracy SP? I've never been able to adopt the free GP with this mod

just tried on a quick game, and no problem to get the free GP. What other mods do you use ?
 
Lots of others, at one point I systematically went through enabling one mod at a time to see what the issue was, thought it was your mod. Hrm, will try again
if you have a mod using ingame.xml, it may come from it.

ok, thank for the report, now I have to try to understand why it works on my computer and not on your's, here are a few points I can think of :

which version of the mod and civ do you use ?
have you tried to clean the cache folder ?
if you have previous version of this mod installed, can you try to erase them ?
 
v.2 was in the mod browser, without InGame.xml dependency (and without the GP bug :D )

and I've just added v.4 while I was there.

I think some unit icons are not shown on the map.

Is this mod compatible with the latest patch? I had a bunch of issues running it but it might be another city states mod too, would be great if someone could confirm.
 
Strategic View may cause issues if some events are not fired by the game engine, I hadn't tested the mod with it.

But it should be compatible with the latest patch.
 
When using it with Nutty's Ethnic Diversity, do I also need to delete the civ5artdefines_unitmembers.xml and civ5artdefines_units.xml files from the City State UU folder?
 
yes you can, but you'll have to put them back if you stop using the Ethnic Diversity mod.

yes you can, but you'll have to put them back if you stop using the Ethnic Diversity mod.

That's certainly the safest method to ensure you don't have conflicts, but if you just make sure that Ethnic Diversity is checked AFTER this mod, it should work fine.
