i just got civ 2 test of time free with pc user (in australia)
love the game but when i play "hotseat" multiplayer the computer players attack me but it doesnt tell me so i have to constantly look at all of my cities to see if any enemys are around them. Normaly it should show them moving it there turn but it doesnt. Any patches for this version???
THANKS

Isn't there an option in the menus where you can tick show enemy moves? Not sure about that because I haven't changed the options for ages.

Oh I don't know then. I have never played it multiplayer so that is probably why...

I have Civ2 Multiplayer Gold so Ioften play multiplayer games.
In multi, you don't see the AI moving. I agree that it is pretty annoying not to see what is happening to your people! I don't think you can change anything about that but since I've downloaded the newest Microprose patch for civ2 I get a pop-up box after every AI turn to report eventual casualties. It is verx useful, so I recommend you to go for it!;)

Oh, I see.
Well, I don't have the T of T version but you can check www.microprose.com site and look for patches. Trouble is, I don't know if they have any for your civ version.

Ren, you mean you see the enemy moves when you play hotseat? Strange...
I also play hotseat and at the end of each turn, I get a pup-up box "XY, you may now command the Zulus (or other civ)" to indicate that it is another player's turn.
It hides the enemy moves, which is really annoying when you play a scenario with much of units!
I think when you play via internet or LAN, you see the enemy moving because you don't share a computer with other players.

write an email then. not that it will do much good...:p i remember someone else got ToT the same way you did, and one of the first things someone told him was, "you just wasted your money" even though he got it for free with his mag. this might show what a waste ToT is, i dunno, i haven't slept in ~32 hours so i can't think straight, and i have class in an hour...

Test of time was the first TBS that I brought so it was good value for me since I didn't already have Civ 2. The features that it adds are not really worth buying although the expanded game is probably worth it...
